What do people think of the name Gene for a Boy?What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0
-
Ive never thought of it for a boy i was put of using it for a girl as we have a jean at work and she is a complete fruit loop ( but lovely non the less) i just wouldnt want an insane baby.
I think if your surname is quite masculine it could work really well :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Gene.. wouldn't work for us *giggles at the thought*
I have an auntie Jean.. fruitloop definitely to be avoided!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I agree that Gene makes me think of an old lady - or Gene Kelly
Baby has been quite quiet today although he's rolling around softly. I can feel him and see my tummy moving, just no vicious kicks!
I'm at the midwife tomorrow (38 + 3) so will hopefully find out if he's started to engage yet. I hope he has but I'd prefer it if he waited until the weekend as it's my birthday on Thursday and I'm not prepared to share!!!Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Re names, spent an hour talking to my colleague about this today about how difficult it is. I want something not common (as in there will be 5 in a class with the same name) but a name that isn't unique so they stand out. My work colleague had one of his forenames as Merlin as was known by that until 20ish and said he had probs being so unique, he is now known as Dave. By the way my mum is called Jean so no for me on Gene!
Love the bump Bexta, think like you at 18/19 weeks only just showing which has its disadvantages when you ask for a seat on the train and people wonder why. Want a big bump in their face!!
Welcome sharon and congrats freebie on team blue sorry you had a rubbish time with the sonographerThomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

Hi there
I am now 17 weeks 2 days pregnant, heard the baby's heartbeat again last week.
However today have noticed some brown discharge, not much but enough for me to worry, am waiting for midwife to call me back.
Anyone else had this?
Thanks
Clare0 -
Hi Clare as its brown and not red fresh blood i doubt its anything to fret over but its always best to get it checked out i'm sure the midwife will reassure you. Brown discharge is normally just your body clearing out old waste :-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

For those who havent yet used their Huggies voucher for 50 % off Newborn kit ( voucher found inside Emmas Diary. Head down to Asda now. As Asda have them down to £3 were £5. But instead off just taking 50% off £3. It takes £2.50 off ( using the old price) So you just pay 50p !!!!
The Newborn kit is sold in a red and yellow box comes with size 1 nappies and travel size wipes, also samples and coupons.
