Sir Monster, you've got to be careful with shopping on the backs of prams too. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen overloaded ones tip over with baby still inside!

Xmas, totally agree about bright colours for kids. That's what I'm hoping to do with our white stuff. I'm thinking bright purples and greens, things like that cos we don't know the flavour.

xmas- Wow! That sounds great. I love bright colours on babies, looks lovely, and think of how much they charge for coloured vests/ babygro's you are truly MSE!!!

I'm another one that hates baby pink stuff for girls, it just gets so boring. Plus my DD is a redhead so brighter colours look much better on her. Thats why I love H&M so much as they do lovely bright baby clothes. My DD does have a black 50's style dress with polka dots and a huge bright pink bow on though that looks amazing! I want it in my size :D

:rotfl: yeah when I first switched DD1 from a travel system to a stroller (I lived in an upstairs flat in a dodgy area so couldn't leave the buggy downstairs) she made a couple of backflips because I wasn't used to such a light buggy!

Np Sir Monster, It is only through experience that I would offer advice and I would try to never force my point of view on others, I always offer it as my opinion only, people can either take it or leave it:) I agree it is VERY annoying when everyone feels they need to bombard you with information, half of which you never even asked them about!!

Horse - With ds1 & 2 I had this problem In fact I had it soooo bad with ds1 I ended up with a horrible rash going all down the inside of my legs starting at the inny bit at the top...I used to have to lie down every night with my legs spread open with sudacrem smothered all over the area. I found the best solution was to wear dh boxer shorts, not sure if that would work for you? With ds2 and also this pregnancy(occasionally) I have found using panty liners/sanitary pads sufficient to absorb the moisture, although somedays still found myself changing underwear a few times too....

    Mel x

Thanks Mel, I'm so glad I'm not the only one to have had this! Never thought of using sanitary pads funnily enough - think I'll need to. :o Did the sudocrem help you, as I've just been using the canestin for the thrush problem, hoping it would combat this too - god how classy do I sound - not! :rotfl:My rash hasn't spread down my legs yet, but is worst where my groin meets my leg (sorry ladies). I've been trying to find decent maternity knickers, I bought mine from Asda last time and they were so comfy I've still got them but only 2 pairs, but they don't do maternity underwear anymore - even though they've introduced a maternity range. :doh:xx

    Morning all

Xmas I'm having probs getting to sleep too - is odd even though feel bubs move during the day if I go to bed and bubs isn't moving I can't sleep until he does then I can't sleep when he does - doh!! I also am too hot and have a cold, may take a day off tomorrow. There was a brief thunderstorm at midnightish but not for long.

Having a busy weekend seeing my family yesterday and DH's today, thankfully we all meeting down the road.

Re pushchairs I was going to get this pushchair/travel system http://www.johnlewis.com/230767643/Product.aspx but after speaking to my family who have kids they said make sure you get one with two handles but think this will cost us more as would want to get something like this:

http://www.boots.com/en/Maxi-Cosi-Loola-Pushchair-Fast-Forward_1035554/ but then we would have to get a car seat aswell so would be at least another £100!! What do you ladies think would having the two handles be important (they were thinking could put shopping on them rather than just in the basket!)

Shopping on handles is dangerous anyway so shouldn't be done.. the baby esp when little is too light to have much effect and the buggy WILL tip backwards..

If you get one with a decent size basket it won't make any difference everything can be flung in there! And you can always take a rucksack.. or get those clips things so a bag or 2 can be put on the handle.

I know several people, including myself who have ended up with terrible wrist problems mainly caused by incorrect positioning of pushchair handles!..

Mine wear white and nothing else lol.

I don't like littlies in bright colours and I loathe seeing them in black too.. Toddlers however have to be dressed in all manner of mad clothing.. I made mine trousers and shorts in the craziest designs.. frilly trousers with frog all over, pinafore dresses covered in mermaids or ballerinas!

sir monster - I'd just get what you want, people will always have opinions! As others say you can get those bag clips anyway. I am going to get some buggy weights for the xt for if we do any shopping when its newborn.

done church, was a bit hot but managed ok, picked up the freebie nappy bucket from the netmums lady - its a small mothercare one so will prob use it for the reusable wipes and get a bigger one for nappies. Looked at the nursery stuff and told her I'd think about it but think I've decided it's a no. It was a lovely collection but the curtains would need altering to make them long enough, the rug was a bit too worn and I don't think we'd use the laundry bag. There was also a change mat and a lovely throw, plus some toys and room stickers. Great deal for £35 but think I will stick to my plan of a few key bits new (obviously sheets & blankets, plus a coverlet, lampshade and curtains, plus perhaps stickers.)

DH is playing on the ps3 (for a change) and we're going to get a coffee out in a bit.

I want flat crib sheets.. only about 4 but nowhere in the world has them in cream for a reasonable price!! I don't want lemon or green or pink or blue or white.. I want cream!!!! Is that so very much to ask?

I'm going to give dunelm a go later this week, but am quite cross lol.

I spent most of last night on the sofa.. I sat and watched the lightening at about 1am and fell asleep and OH never came looking for me lol... so I ended up going to bed at about 8ish.. Once I was laid on the sofa I actually needing helping off it as I was stuck.. it was actually really nice not to be rolling and flailing all night and just go to sleep and stay asleep.. even if I did have 3 cats laid on me!!!
