Thanks Mel, I'm so glad I'm not the only one to have had this! Never thought of using sanitary pads funnily enough - think I'll need to.
Did the sudocrem help you, as I've just been using the canestin for the thrush problem, hoping it would combat this too - god how classy do I sound - not! :rotfl:My rash hasn't spread down my legs yet, but is worst where my groin meets my leg (sorry ladies). I've been trying to find decent maternity knickers, I bought mine from Asda last time and they were so comfy I've still got them but only 2 pairs, but they don't do maternity underwear anymore - even though they've introduced a maternity range. :doh:xx
Well a Classy chick;):p:D
I did find the sudocrem helped, to a certain degree anyway....Not sure the canestan would help as it is for a fungal infectoin, whereas this is probably a sweat rash....unless you had Canasten HC which has hydrocortisone in it, which would be perfect for this type of rash....not sure it could be used in pregnancy though:(
I always found some knickers made it worse/more sore than others because of the elastic, some can feel a bit rough, I think that's why the boxers helped me, because it meant there was nothing actually touching or rubbing on the sore area:p
Xmas - Those colours sound fab, although I don't usually go for very bright colours on babies, but maybe that's because they have been boys. Red is probably the brightest I've used. I usually go for whites/cream/beige/brown or navy blue/red type combos!! I am defiinitely not a fan of baby blue I found it never suited any of my three at all and IF baby is a girl and looks anything like me, it won't suit baby pink either:)
Must go and have a little look in Sainsbury's sounds like they have some nice bits.
xxUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -

I'm all for girls looking like girls but why does it have to be so drab kids should be bright and cheerful and dont get me started on dressing littlies in Black i hate it hate it hate it!!!
Sounds really nice XmasI'm the same and love bright colours! I've bought some white bits but only things with designs as I find plain white boring! Got loads of colored bits in yellow, orange, red, cream, blue and some multicoloured patterns. Think I'm making the most of dressing a little person as I always wear black clothes or jeans!
Went to car boot this morn, didn't buy anything. Felt real self concious as saw few people from school and they kept staring at my belly measuring me up! Went to my parents house and my mum had bought a very cute white fleece outfit with trousers, jumper, dungarees and jacket all matching with a little bear and chick design on it. My sis also txt to say she had bought me some stuff also! So look forward to seeing what she's got!
Just ordered a mattress for my moses basket, determined to get everything ready over this month so July I can relax, then August I can spend my maternity leave getting bedding ready, getting clothes ready, etc!0 -
I want flat crib sheets.. only about 4 but nowhere in the world has them in cream for a reasonable price!! I don't want lemon or green or pink or blue or white.. I want cream!!!! Is that so very much to ask?
I'm going to give dunelm a go later this week, but am quite cross lol.
I spent most of last night on the sofa.. I sat and watched the lightening at about 1am and fell asleep and OH never came looking for me lol... so I ended up going to bed at about 8ish.. Once I was laid on the sofa I actually needing helping off it as I was stuck.. it was actually really nice not to be rolling and flailing all night and just go to sleep and stay asleep.. even if I did have 3 cats laid on me!!!
I cant find crib sheets the right size so am going to buy some cream or white flat cot or cot bed sheets cut them in half then stitch along the cut sides - probably cheaper than crib sheets also.0 -
fernliebee wrote: »moneysaver- poor you, getting a guilt trip for doing the right thing. It is such a shame that your mum/ sis can't just appreciate all you have done, without constantly expecting more. IMO it is much fairer of you to start to slow contact now, instead of just dropping it suddenly when bubs is born. SOunds like you have their best interests at heart and are being seriously undervalued. Not got any advice but try not to let it get you down as hard as that may be.
Thankyou fernliebee. We do want whats best for our nieces. A friend asked me why my mum doesn't have them every week, which i though was a valid point. She doesn't seem prepared to have them, yet she has a go at me.
Well done on getting your jobs done. I have a list too that i really need to make a start on.
Sending labour vibes to hazzie.
We have been out and went to b&q, bought a big plant pot for the garden and bought one for the house, as i am growing a indoor chilli plant but its looking over crowded so need to repot some of the plants. Also went to mothercare and found the car rug that we had been after, its the green blue car range, it has 30% off so it was 13.99 from 19.99.Married 09/09/090 -

I did consider a single bedsheet which would do a fair few crib sheets for next to nothing... but I simply do not have the time patience or energy to faff with them.. Thogh give me another couple of weeks and I might feel like doing something productive again other than the multitude of appointments which are surprisingly tiring!
I have a list of a billion things I need to get done but I don't think many will get done before lumpy arrives.. it is too hot for a start!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Friend is bringing the cotbed round this week, might order the mattress then as am ordering amazon stuff this week for DH's birthday, may as well have stuff come whilst I am at home.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Pigpen, not sure how big you're wanting the crib sheets, but Matalan have cream flat sheets for cots, pack of 2 for £7, and they do cream pram/ moses basket sheets too, but I think they're fitted. Wasn't paying much attention to them cos I haven't got a moses basket.
