Pigpen, not sure how big you're wanting the crib sheets, but Matalan have cream flat sheets for cots, pack of 2 for £7, and they do cream pram/ moses basket sheets too, but I think they're fitted. Wasn't paying much attention to them cos I haven't got a moses basket.
If you wait until they have a sale as well they normally do buy one get one free:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Iam now fuming with my mum. I posted on fb yesterday that i was having a nice weekend with my dh, then later after the conversation with my mum, i posted that i wasn't having a good weekend. A friend asked what was wrong. I said family upsetting me. My mum has posted that some people don't realise that children have feelings. I am peed off now with her. She is basiclly saying that i don't understand that my nieces have feelings because we have not had our nieces today and because when baby is here, we won't be able to have them as much.
Im sure this stress is not good for baby or me.Married 09/09/090 -
Moneysaver i know its hard but ignore her you have been doing the family a favour by having them so much it is not your duty to keep having them you have your own family to consider now. You are much calmer than me by the way i would be ranting if its that important to her she can have them every weekend. Chin up :-D:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Afternoon ladies and bumps
Moneysaver, sorry you're having a rubbish time with your mum, been reading the other thread too. Stick to your guns but try not to stress :A
Just collected a £25 crib from someone on netmums, it's lovely! Much bigger than I anticipated so should fit to up until about 6 months. A friend is also giving us a cot so we're sorted bedding-wise up about 2 years. Found a sheet with a massive hole in in the airing cupboard last night so that'll be chopped up into sheets. She also gave us a load of reuasable nappies and bibs for nowt, so a good day out!
Back to school tomorrow, or at least school opens again tomorrow so I'll have to start setting cover again. I'm due back at the end of the week but there's no way at all I'm gonna be able to teach so this afternoon I've put together a letter to the Head outlining what I can do and to see whether he wants me in or whether he'll decide to suspend me on full pay. Just thinking about going back is making me feel incredibly anxious
It's raining here, glad the weather's cooled down :cool:Updating soon...0 -
courgette - well done on the crib and the freebies. I have found netmums great around here, helps living in a city I think as we have diff netmums for the two local towns, whereas my sister only has one for the whole county! the lady today threw me in two packs of disposeable liners with the nappy bucket which was free!
dinner eaten and we're going to have a game of scrabble or similar before 24 tonight. I might go in the spare room again tonight as then DH won't wake me when he goes off to work
moneysaver - try not to stress about it, I had a ding dong with my sis the other week, I think part of it is being extra sensitive!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Thank you Xmas, Courgette. Hugs Courgette, hope that your headteacher is understanding. Thats good about crib and cot.
Thank you Rach. I think that iam sensitive at the moment. I tend to be a sensitive person. My mum has hurt me too many times over my life and im not going to let her anymore.Married 09/09/090 -
evening everyone, I'm still feeling poo but sent OH to take DD to a party she had this afternoon and told him to get me a fan from argos on the way. I had a £10 voucher so it didn't cost much but my goodness do I feel so much better now. He also told the mum that I speak to most at DD school about the baby which is great, which is good, I hate telling people. Not sure if I'll go to work tomorrow night yet, I'm hoping I'll go to bed tonight and wake up feeling much better.

moneysaver.. I would be tempted to say your mum should take the neices out if she is so bothered by it.. and when yours gets here.. she can take that one too.. so you can ALL have a break!! That or I'd tell her to eff off and mind her own.. tact being one of my better qualities!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Hi all,
Now I hope you ladies don't mind me asking this, abit embarrassing.I know it's been warm lately, but I've found myself getting really itchy and sweaty - not just armpits, under boobs and under bump, but down below. I'm having to change my underwear at least 3 times a day because I'm soaking with sweat. I spoke to the MW re. thrush at my 22 wk appt, but she was running 40 mins late, so felt she as really rushing me through appt to get me out. Although this problem hadn't really been a problem then, it was more the thrush. I now have a few spots down there (sorry tmi) which are red and really itchy (not touched them). Googled problem which said it could be rash caused by the sweating. All these problems are new to me, never had any of these problems in my 1st pregnancy except the thrush. Anyone else know anything about this? I'm not too embarrassed to go to my gp or MW, it's just a hassle trying to find the time to go and next MW appt is another 3 wks away.
Sorry for the big tmi post.
Not sure how your skin would manage if it's very dry, but when it's hot I sprinkle talc on all those sweaty bits - a tip from a famous chef who said he used to chuck in down his bum crack to stop sweat rash :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
You do need to take care though if your skin is drying out, as I said. Also, bepanthen (sp?) might be good as this provides a barrier as well.Bellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0
