    morning all

still hot here, no rain yet though it is more grey! Slept not too bad considering but I opted for the spare bed as one person is cooler than two. :D I ended up ditching some of the extra pillows as they were making me hot so woke up v stiff but better now!

plan is to chill for a bit then church and picking up the nappy bucket/looking at the other stuff the lady has. we might go for a stroll and feed the ducks this aft if it's a bit cooler. The curtains the woman is selling are a bit short for our window but I'm thinking we could either move the track down/replace with a pole (track is ridiculously 10cm above window) or get my seamstress sister in law to work some magic on them!

Have just posted some stuff for free on netmums, not much just some folders destined for the bin but it seems a shame when there's nothing wrong with them and i've had such a lot from there!

I'm not going to work, gonna go back to bed in a bit.

Rach I'm in south east and we had rain and thunder storms last night, so funny how it can be different just down the road. Glad it did though, was cooler this morning but is already warming up. Thermastat yesterday was on 24 its at 22 now so I might live in a cold bath today. I hope it rains again later or the wind picks up, it is far too hot.

    Morning all

Xmas I'm having probs getting to sleep too - is odd even though feel bubs move during the day if I go to bed and bubs isn't moving I can't sleep until he does then I can't sleep when he does - doh!! I also am too hot and have a cold, may take a day off tomorrow. There was a brief thunderstorm at midnightish but not for long.

Having a busy weekend seeing my family yesterday and DH's today, thankfully we all meeting down the road.

Re pushchairs I was going to get this pushchair/travel system http://www.johnlewis.com/230767643/Product.aspx but after speaking to my family who have kids they said make sure you get one with two handles but think this will cost us more as would want to get something like this:

http://www.boots.com/en/Maxi-Cosi-Loola-Pushchair-Fast-Forward_1035554/ but then we would have to get a car seat aswell so would be at least another £100!! What do you ladies think would having the two handles be important (they were thinking could put shopping on them rather than just in the basket!)

CAFC Great to hear from you glad that all is well.

I am going with a friend (neighbour) and my daughter for a cuppa at the garden centre at 11 she is suffering from depression at the moment and just getting her to go or do anything is a big bonus.

My mum has just rung to say that she is at the Huge Boot sale and has found me a top & Tail bowl and loads of strawberries for me to make Jam supplies :).

I wish I could start nesting!!! Bit early me think ;) We have the start of Student season from 20th June so I am busy sorting our the spare room which can't even start to become the nursey until the last student leaves on 2nd October :eek: with bubs due 2nd December

Have a fab day ladies huge hugs and labour vibes xoxo :A

    Morning all,

We've had rain through the night and all this morning - still raining now. Lots of thunder too though that has now stopped.

I am going to try and persuade oh to go buggy browsing today. I wanted the Icandy apple but Mothercare do a very similar pushchair for a lot less money so might go for a look.

I'm hoping to start nesting this week when the kids are back at school - their bedrooms are driving me crazy!

I think they are just thinking of shopping bags, yeah. One handle is actually easier to steer in my opinion....especially one handed, so if you need to hold another child or use you mobile etc one handed is much better. I get really annoyed trying to push my two handled buggy while on the phone! My new double has one straight handle and anything I get after that will have one handle....You can always buy those little cilps for shopping bags anyway;)

Had to call out of hours doctors yesterday as the acid reflux was just too bad to handle anymore and the Gaviscon advance wasn't doing anything. He gave me some Zantac tablets and they are brilliant, no pain already:) Although I have woken up with a sore throat and am not feeling 100% so have just had some paracetamol.

Went to my brother and sister's bbq party yesterday and stayed until 8.40, perfect timing actually as we had only been home 10 minutes and it started raining. We are meant to be meeting up with MIL today and going out for sunday lunch, somewhere.

Hugs, and labour vibes to those in need xx

    Hi all,

I can't believe I've missed so much on here! How's everyone getting on? I'm 25 wks tomorrow, can't believe it.

I've been so tired all the time - thought I was meant to get a spurt of energy after the 1st trimester. Ended up with round ligament pain at 16 wks, it was so bad I ended up in bed over the easter hols, was glad I was off on holiday as no way could I have worked. That lasted 2 wks, now my lower back giving me jipp, right through my buttocks - MV said it could be sciatica and to rest as much as I can. As I usually stand at work (not all day but most of the time) it's been quite difficult trying to sit due to nature of my job.

Now I hope you ladies don't mind me asking this, abit embarrassing. :o I know it's been warm lately, but I've found myself getting really itchy and sweaty - not just armpits, under boobs and under bump, but down below. I'm having to change my underwear at least 3 times a day because I'm soaking with sweat. I spoke to the MW re. thrush at my 22 wk appt, but she was running 40 mins late, so felt she as really rushing me through appt to get me out. Although this problem hadn't really been a problem then, it was more the thrush. I now have a few spots down there (sorry tmi) which are red and really itchy (not touched them). Googled problem which said it could be rash caused by the sweating. All these problems are new to me, never had any of these problems in my 1st pregnancy except the thrush. Anyone else know anything about this? I'm not too embarrassed to go to my gp or MW, it's just a hassle trying to find the time to go and next MW appt is another 3 wks away.

Sorry for the big tmi post. :o

You can get pram hooks if you really want to hang shopping from the handles! I find the ones with two handles are hard to steer with one hand which you do sometimes need to do. The ones with two handles just go round in circles if you try to push with one hand :p

Edit: Just realised I cross posted :o

Hope everyone is OK this morning, had rubbish sleep here too! Had the fan on all night and kept waking up frightened that there were spiders and webs all over the ceiling

It's still quite warm here, meant to cool down today though.

Thanks Delain and Redmel, didn't think about steering one handed - is so much to think about regarding pushchairs!! Re advice as a new pregnant lady - did you find everyone ALWAYS has advice for you, do this/don't do that etc, etc, etc. I know they are trying to be helpful but can be a bit annoying!! Not you ladies as your advice is always welcome!!

Also still HOT, just did 10 minutes housework as may have family coming over later and just did me in, decided to stop as DH is just on his computer - grrrrrrr!!
