I'm the same, just buy a couple of packs. Haha went to Asda yesterday eve to get shopping and nappies, poor monkey had 1 nappy left in the pack:o

I have only got 1 pack for new baby. I also don't think I have ever used 10 nappies in a day on any of them, well not regularly anyway. 6 feeds=6 nappy changes:D and that's if I even bother to change the night time ones!!!!!

I don't change during night feeds unless they do an obviously huge poop.. not worth disturbing eithe rof us that much.. I've not killed one off yet from not changing them (I don't bath them every week either)

Thanks Pigpen and Redmel, I just wanted to get 5 or 6 packs while they're on offer but as my OH said tonight, there will be plenty more offers plus we do not have space to be storing nappies!! lol. I've got 2 packs of size 1 and one pack of size 2. Might make do with those so it motivates me to get out and do some shopping once I have the baby, or get OH to!! :D

That'll be enough.. I have a few packs in bigger sizes but only because a friend bought them for me.. I would have had 2 freebie packs, 2 packs lowbirth weight and 1 packs size 1 otherwise.. within walking distance we have 2 Boots, 1 chemist and about 8 supermarkets.. 3 of which are open 24 hours.. i don't think we will run out in a hurry!

Hiya pigpen glad to see your back. My little madam is breech too been trying everything to get her to turn but she isnt having any of it at the moment :-(

On the nappies front i only get a couple fo packs of the first sizes as you never know how quick they will grow out of them. I did change bubs during his night feeds to begin with as the little blighter would fall asleep half way through and it would keep him awake long enough to finish and make sure we all got a bit of sleep other wise he would keep grazing all night.

Ive just done my gel nails havent done them myself for years they dont look to bad but i do need more pratice just going to paint the england flag on them now (i know its sad!!! lol)

Cheers Pigpen, my nearest shop is 7 miles away but I am sure my mum or OH can always pick me some up! I do envy you lot who live close to shops, and actual decent size shops that open 24 hours, a 24 hour shop is unheard of around these parts :p

Hey ladies, been busy with Isobel but have had a lil read when I can. We're both doing really well, feels like i'm feeding 23hrs a day but so worth it.

Have just done my birth story if any one would like a read. first half is a moan about hosp, didn't mean to do that just ended up ranting :D you know how it is...

Hugs to all, labour vibes to any who would like them. xxx

Just read your birth story :) glad to hear your getting on well with Isobel (love her name!) and nice to see you on here!

hi all, have read all the posts from today in a few sittings but can't really remember what to say to whom!

CAFC- hope they calm down, try not to scratch!

bsm - congrats, and to MGEB!

Ok day at work, almost called in sick as just so exhausted but the work would still be there when I got back! My hip was v painful in the night and this morning, ended up in spare bed again - am starting in there tongiht! But I led the work lunchtime walk and it seemed to improve it, bit of sciatica i think.

mum & stepdad coming tomorrow, am really looking forward to showing mum all the baby stuff. they are staying with the in laws though as we might need the spare bed! we are hoping to go to London zoo on friday as me and dh have the day off, I am supposed to have found some vouchers but haven't yet.

So far I only have 1 small pack size 1 nappies plus a few that came with (i think) the sains pack. I am only really going to get the ones I have freebie or £1 off vouchers for as hopefully won't need them for long.

bed for me now, take care all, probably won't get on much over the weekend.

I'm lazy.. i go get my nails done.. :p

i'm only lurking because I am so incredibly bored.. I have awful hayfever so spent every night coughing it is driving me insane.. I drugged us both with proper drugs last night.. and ended up having 2 major coughing fits instead of my usual 1.. on the benylin tonight see if that works!.. pratcically coughed up my lungs I have!

Bowl of ice cream n the head usually works here.. we've been head down for the last 2 weeks than suddenly flipped over last night.. halfway back round after tonights ice cream on head treatment.. but he is so very long it is very painful.. and with his new comfy position we can kick the bladder even harder than we normally do.. I actually think I am too old to be having this baby!!!

I am a right moaning minnie at the moment.. I am tired for a start..my back, ribs, chest, throat, coccyx, hips and knees hurt. My feet are swollen, I had to take off my rings 3 months ago! I have 2 pairs cropped jeans and 2 pairs of leggings that fit, I put one of my favourite tops on today and had to take it off as it was itching me to death.. my boobs appear to have increased another cup size.. that is 4 sizes so far.. and I start every sentence with I because I am so self-obsessed due to all of the above!

The mere thought that I have another 7-8 weeks minimum of this just makes me want to cry... at least I do have mine early or it could well be a lot longer!

I am in such a huff everything not nailed down or vital to my existance is being thrown out!

Snap!!! I try and limit any night time attention to as little as possible:p

Although I do bathe at least once a week, just not every night!!!

Nappy wise I have 1 pack of newborn nappies from asda as they were £1, and most of a pack of the nature baby size 2's as someone gave them to me. I have my washable nappies which I will use again too, so that will do me for now. If we need more DH will be sent out! :) We are going on holiday when bubs will be about 3 weeks old so I'll use disposables for that week as I can't be bothered with the faff of washing while on hols, though I know some more dedicated folk do. I'll wait until just before we go to buy them though as I'm not sure what size I will need. Prob 2's I'd thought. DD was 8lb5 so if this one is similar or a bit bigger then I would think they will be in 2's pretty soon. Meh! We'll see!

I never bothered with changing at night unless pooey. I was always too asleep anyway, I would just lift DD up and stick her on the boob, then she would magically get back to her cot :D I obv put her there but no memory of it, it was just second nature. I used to find that she generally didn't poo at night anyway just ALLLLL day! ha ha! My friend used to worry her baby would only poo every few days, and I would worry DD pooed too much!

Just been writing my birthplan (well I'm not doing a birth plan to give to MW, but I'm writing a preference list for DH and my mum, of what I would prefer to happen in certain circumstances as I just could not verbalise my thoughts whilst in labour, so hopefully they will be able to make some sense of it!) It is hard as I'll never be able to cover all eventualities, but I have just focussed on the stuff that is really important to me, and sod's law it will be all the other stuff that comes up. I just figure that whatever happens will happen and you can't fully prepare anyway, so I'll just have to go with it.

Also need to write myself a list of things to do in the house before baby is born. Unfortunately nesting hasn't fully kicked in yet, and I really need to get my bum in gear! Eeep!

I bath mine when they stop being sticky enough to collect all the fluff off the carpet.. like lint rollers babies!
