I bath mine when they stop being sticky enough to collect all the fluff off the carpet.. like lint rollers babies!
he he! That made me chuckle!
I didn't bathe DD much at first as they don't really need it, but then she loved bath time so I would just put a tiny bit in the kitchen sink each eve and stick her in there, she used to splash and giggle like mad! My excuse is we don't have a TV so it was entertainment for us0 -

Oh dear pigpen you sound like your in the wars you winge away im damned sure i will when i get to that stage. Have you tried drinking ice cold milk when the coughing starts i know it sounds silly but it usually stops mine. I suffer with hayfever too but fingers crossed this year seems to be a good year for me so other than when i was cutting the grass the other day i havent really had an attack yet.
Fernliee ive never been a bath bed routine kind of person i did try with bubs but he didnt take to it and baths seem to wake him up not settle him down. He does get a lot of baths at the moment but thats because he insists upon feeding himself and ends up wearing alot of food lol :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
I am sooooo not a routine type of person, I swore I'd never bother with any sort of routine at all, but DD had different ideas! her favourite thing is bathtime and swimming, she is a water baby for sure. I don't think it makes her sleepy really but it def makes her happy
She has always been a good sleeper too so I just know this one will be a monkey, sods law!
I must say my routines are very flexible though, I would say 5 out of 7 days she will have a bath and be in bed at 7.30, but if we are out and about, or there are family and friends over I'll let her stay up as long as she is having fun, then she seems to just slot right back into it the next day, luckily. Same with naps, most days she will sleep for 2-3 hours but on a few days a week she will just stay up if we have more fun stuff to do, she'll be grumpy though
Eurgh! Just could not get to sleep last night, really uncomfy and too much going on in my head, and I have to go shopping this morning too!
Huge congrats to BSM and MGEB on your Zachary babes. Lovely name!0 -
Oooh! Just looked at the list, and not inc the 3 at the top who are 2 weeks over EDD, and BSM and MGEB who have had their bub's I am 20th on the list! Eeeep! That has gone fast!0

Morning all,
hope everyone is well. I am ok, but having some sleep issues. Have been reading up that you have to be careful which position you sleep in so its getting me a little worried. I have read before that you should not sleep on your back, but only recently also read that you should not sleep on your right side also.... something about not restricting circulation. which leaves only the left side (tummy excluded for obvious reasons lol). So I am finding it hard to get comfortable sleep as I can't lie on one side all night, I have to change positions a couple of times in the night so I can get decent sleep. Anyone else having sleep issues and what do you do?
Also really weird but have woken up and got a desire to eat Steak Pie! and could eat it right now!
Take care everyone and best wishes to all who are due now & congratulations to those who have just found out their expecting.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -

I am finding the sleeping positions difficult, I foolishly told my OH that I shouldnt sleep on my back and now he keeps waking me up saying 'YOUR SLEEPING ON UR BACK AGAIN' grrr! I have tried to sleep on my left side, but my pelvis and hip hurt so much at the mo I have to start on my right side and then gradually turn over to my left. I have 2 pillows where I lie so that I can kinda sleep in the middle of them, on my side, without the pillows I wouldnt be able to stay on my side! This helps with the pain and also sometimes OH will fluff the pillows up around me and make it so I cant move and this helps. As soon as this baby is born I am having my back/ hips/ pelvis looked at, they bloody hurt so much!!
Baby kicked me all through the night last night, and this morning, and hasnt really stopped (still doing it now) cant believe how active he/she is!0 -
Don ive never heard of not being able to sleep on your right hand side i do all the time oops!!
As for on your back the yes it is better to avoid it as you put alot of pressure on your major arteries however if you put a little cushion under your right hand buttock cheek this then shifts the uterus to the left and can allow you to sleep on your back but again it should only be done occasionally if you are finding sleeping on your side really difficult.
I have found my body pillow a god send when trying to sleep and i can't sleep without it now maybe you could pick one up and give it a try :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
