We ordered the twin's new mattresses (£30 each from ebay) and the parcelforce man actually pulled up to the bus stop round the corner where I was waiting to say he had a mattress addressed to me in his van and could he leave it anywhere at my house
In the end I asked him to put it behind the hedge in my front garden so it wasn't visible from the road and he came back to let me know he'd done it. He's a legend that man, he could have just rung my doorbell and taken it ten miles back to the depot1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:

He is very good I must say. I recently found out he is married to one of the senior TA's at the twins school, and she actually works with one of them
I am also the only SAHM in my immediate area that he knows so I seem to be the person who takes in all the packages for my neighbours leaving him with less to take back so I guess we help each other out.
Our postman can be a bit grouchy sometimes tho!
Well I've packed all my PJ's, giant undies , slippers and whatnot, and the clothes we have for little monster to come home in. I'm going to go out and buy some more little sleepsuits and vests today in case we're not straight in and straight out.
I must not forget to get pads as well, wouldn't like to make a mess in new PJ's, you ladies are not allowed to let me forget!!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Have you tried drinking ice cold milk when the coughing starts i know it sounds silly but it usually stops mine. I suffer with hayfever too but fingers crossed this year seems to be a good year for me so other than when i was cutting the grass the other day i havent really had an attack yet.
I don't drink milk.. ever.. the thought of it makes me gag.
You are at this stage.... I had a slightly better nights sleep last night so am whinging slightly less. The pollena appears to be starting to help with the snotfest so hopefully the coughing will abate somewhat.
I got the hospital bag out of the loft.. it is filthy.. and needs emptying as it still has stuff in from having DD4.. who is now 7.5... lol
I have all the stuff I need to put in the bags.. I have the labour bag and the 'coming home' bags organised.. I am not intending on needing an 'in hospital' bag as I am refusing to stay and discharging us both (unless baby is unwell of course) as soon as I can stand up without falling over.
Nappy buckets arrived this morning and the apnoea alarm.. need to test that actually..

LOL @ pigpen I love the idea of putting the bag in the loft with stuff left in it. That's exactly the sort of thing I would do if OH didn't follow me around making me do things properly!
I can't imagine not liking milk, at the moment cereal seems to be the only thing I eat:o

good job I used a different bag with DD5 isn't it.. I am such a troll really lol
I can have milk on cereal but then it has to be freezing cold, but I rarely eat cereal.. maybe 3-4 times a year. I have milk in a cuppa I hate cheese and yoghurts and milky stuff too.. I was fed calcium tablets as a child because my bone density was so poor.
I am packing bags this week while the chimps are off school.. I decided.. Still need to find an 'emergency hospital stay' bag though.. my huge pink one appears to have gome walkabout.. wonder if it is at KH's... I am sure it was one of the ones going back and forth with washing when he first left...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
has any body had shortness of breath, i feel like theres not enough air getting in my lungs & im not sure if my heart is racing or if im panicing coz i cant breathe????????0

I feel sooo bored at work, really feel kinda kept out of everything these days as they are passing on some of my duties to other staff members and I'm not getting involved in new contracts. There was a meeting this morning and the manager basically told me to get on with things while it went on, felt abit left out, but at least it means less work for me!
I wana buy one of these body pillows but I kinda think wot would I do with it after pregnancy, would I still use it? Or would it end up with all the other pillows me and OH seem to have accumulated! Might see how I get on, I dont think our small house would fit one in! Lol :rotfl:0 -

I get that! Not nice.
Saw the Asthma nurse about it on Friday as my hayfever is making it worse. They have given me new inhalers but my doctor will not let me take anything for my hayfeverso all I can take is local honey which we got from the local county show at the weekend.
On the pillow front I picked up a body pillow from Aldi they were less than a fiverand came with a pillowcase.
If you can think it........it will happen0 -
1more.. I am really short of breath too.. it gets easier once the baby gets bigger and engages.. supposedly... mine don't engage until I am in labour though so no use to me!
tink.. what about homeopathic stuff for the hay fever? I am chomping on Nelsons Pollena (my friend is a homeopath so all is well) and it is helping a little bit! My ears aren't so itchy and the coughing is reducing slowly giving my throat chance to heal.

1more; not really had shortness of breath from pregnancy, my asthma has been playing up due to hayfever but when I had my 6 weekly asthma review this week they said my lung capacity had actually improved due to my rib cage lifting, my oxygen levels have never been so high! but I have been told as the baby gets bigger I will get shortness of breath, and obviously my lung capacity will go back to normal after I have had the baby!0
