Hi everybody
I had a consultant appointment and growth scan this afternoon im 34+2 weeks today.
If all goes to plan the my baby will be arriving on the 1st July 2010 by c section at 7 am in the morning- so only 5 days earlier than original edd which was 6 july.
I have a pre op on the 16th june -anybody know what happens at a pre op?
Just feeling very nervous now as I'll be having a general anaesthetic , I had a teary moment with Oh telling him I should have asked what we are having incase I don't wakeup and never find out which he said was silly thinking and that I have nothing to worry about.Love can tame the wildest0 -
Good evening!
I'm just sitting in the car waiting for DS to finish breakdancing. Not very comfortable! At least there's an unlocked wifi connection here LOL
Well I have 15 days to go! Been sorting a few more things today. The bathroom is almost finished. All baby items are washed and ready. Bags are packed 'just in case'. Homebirth pack ready and waiting! I'm getting slightly nervous thinking it could be any day now! Even thought it's my third time!
I've had lots of pressure 'down there' since last night, must be moving down and possibly engaging.. next midwife appt is Tuesday, if I make it that far! My other two were 6 days and 8 days early. There is still so much movement though!! It's kicking me all the time!
CONGRATULATIONS to MGEB and BSM!!! Looking forward to pictures
Hugs to those feeling down, and labour vibes to anyone above me on the list!!!
5 mins till I can drive home and get comfy
Saz xxx:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
1more- with DD I had really bad shortness of breathe, though this time round I seem to be carrying very low so hasn't been much of a problem. I did find being on all fours really helped as it gave you a bit more room to breathe, but obv not practical when you need to get stuff done
Boots do tend to sell the nelsons hayfever relief as it is a fairly common homeopathy remedy, my boot's has a better selection than my local H&B as apparently rather than a health food shop it seems to be a protein shake, body builders paradise now! Pah!0 -

Hi love the pre-op is just an assesment to check that you know what is going to happen, that you are well enough to go under a general (though i am asumming there will be no choice as baby will def have to come out) sometimes you get to chat to the anesthetist (sp) have your blood pressure taken etc.
I had to have a general with my first c-section and it was fine ( i have altogether been 'under' 6 times with various ops and have always been fine.)
It is very very rare for someone to die whilst 'under' as you will have a doctor sat by your head constantly monitoring you.
It is also a relativley 'quick' procedure so you won't be under very long.
Please try not to panic and just think very soon you will be waking up the news that you have a new baby!!!!!!!!I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -

I'm also a bit fearty of the after pains this time round as everyone keeps telling me "Oh I never felt them first time round, but they were worse than labour with the others/ number 2/3/10 etc..."
Fernliebee - I know Im not Pigpen but my afterbirth pains were worse than labour pains for no 1,2,3,4 and lasted days I was waking up in pain and was taking more paracetamol that I should have. With number 5 I had a few here and there that lasted about 2 days, I did drink RLT though and I do think that it really helped my womb contract. HTH0 -
Fernliee I agree with SW obviously i cant say for certain but my afterpains with the last one were so much less than the other two and the only difference was i had been taking my RLT. I seemed to heal alot quicker as well which i put down to the arnica :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Afterpains - I never had any with ds1 or ds2, omg with ds3 I thought I was in labour all over again...I was taking co-codamol and they still hurt. I am dreading this time round!!!
Last day in school for the big-uns today, so I am going to nip down town and get a few things I need for the birth....Gym Ball, shower curtains, charity shop for sheets, littlesnacks, drinks and sweets for the boys to take upstairs, a few carrtons of ready made formula, pack of steri-bottles. I also need the black out liners for the kids curtains. I will be 38wks the day they go back so i'm sure I could wait and get it all when they go back, but might as well get it now.
Looks like a lovely day today, sun is shining:)Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0
