I'm just feeling sorry for myself

everything hurts and remember ive got madwife tomorrow and i just know they're not gonna care what i tell them.... i just feel like theyre not bothered with me.....

And I hate having to complain about things, im so easily fobbed off...... but baby's movements are really painful now, so much so they're setting me off in tears. i keep getting blurry vision and dark spots, got a ripping headache, back hurts, boobs itch, my stretch marks are so itchy and bleeding because i cant stop scratching, i feel sick, cant be bothered to cook any dinner etc etc.... but i know even if i tell them, noone will give a cr&p :(

Just all a bit woe is me...... and DH is at work......

I should never have gone out earlier!!!!!!

You are so close to the end now, you really need to make sure you take it easy....

As for midwives, I have barely ever had one that cared about aches and pains...some have at least tried to be sincere but really they aren't. Have you tried moistourising the stretch marks to reduce the itching, you probably have so ignore me...I know with ds1 I had terrible itchy stretch marks and also a really itchy rash on my arms and back. I still have scars on my upper arms 9yrs later!!

I overdid it myself earlier, went out on school run at 8.30 then to shops then hairdressers with dh, walking the whole way and didn't get back till 10.40....I have been in agony the whole rest of the day with my lower back (tailbone area) and pelvis (feels like the bone is splitting in half) I am shattered with having to run around after ds3 who is only 14mths old and a fully fledged toddler now, who is into EVERTHING!!! I barely get 10mins to sit down at a time throughout the day....

Believe me, you will feel like a whole new person once baby is out, it is quite amazing how quickly you recover and forget about all the aches and pains you have just been suffering through

    xx

OMG was watching CDWM earlier (a repeat and had recorded last week) it was based in Sunderland and the lady on there was telling the others how her grandmother (her mum's mum) had had 25 children!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

I was thinking of asking you pigpen as I knew you would be extremely well qualified to answer me! I'm also a bit fearty of the after pains this time round as everyone keeps telling me "Oh I never felt them first time round, but they were worse than labour with the others/ number 2/3/10 etc..." :D

I'm just hoping that this one comes earlier than DD I reeeeaaaallly cannot handle going over 42 weeks again!!! Esp as after a 'walk in the park' pregnancy with DD, this time I have SPD, constant nausea, heartburn, swollen ankles/ feet, low iron, a baby who keeps getting into weird positions (oblique, back to back etc) and now my sciatica is playing up! Moan moan moan! :D I'd still do it all again though :)

Ouchy! The headbutting in the ribs sounds awful, little monkey! This bubba just insists on sticking it's knees right out in either direction constantly and will not put them in. I think it's a starfish not a baby! :) DD was so simple compared to this one! ha ha.

i feel like im slathered in stuff LOL nothing seems to stop the itching. Im trying to drink loads so my skin has moisture in it from inside, tried e45, calamine, eurax cream, vaseline intensive moisturiser, boots botanics body butter.... basically every cream in the house. Thing is they are popping up so fast, I dont think my skin can cope.....

i feel bad for moaning now, Im only running round after an energetic pug who can be caged if he gets too much, bless you for managing a whole brood....

    Hi everyone.
RE Surestart Grant - Totally agree that its a faff and would be easier if they looked at your tax credits and automatically awarded it to you. I found the form really easy to fill ect but its just messing about trying to figure out if you are eligible e.c.t. When i had DS i didnt know you could claim afterwards so never bothered and have only now realised we would have been eligible. It makes me feel a bit gutted and wish they were more outspoken about its availability but in the end can only blame myself cos if you want the benefit you should look into it i guess!
Also found it impossible to find an address to post it to so posted it to my local jobcentre plus has anyone else done this?

    Tinkwings -
if you are worried about anything you should just go to the doctor, its better safe than sorry and they can reassure you. Prob just bad sickness with the pregnancy some poor women get it all the way through.

Been so tired these last couple of days, had such a busy but lovely weekend in the sun, bbqs at my parents sat and MILs sunday then we went up to the seaside monday, DS had such a good time loads of playing outside on the grass and the sandpit and paddling pool, and loved the beach, but he has been tired ever since too! ha. Great way to tire kids out is summer, He went bed at five today!!
    Hope everyone is ok!

CAFC - you should try Oilatum, I got it on prescription for DS when he was really little cos he has dry/itchy skin and i swear after using it myself it is ace, you can buy it in supermarkets e.t.c. there in big pump dispensers but could be used on bubs too on any dry skin he might have.

CAFC- The last few weeks are a drag hun. Have a lovely hot bath/ shower, get as many pillows as you can find and try to make yourself as comfy as you possibly can and just chill for the eve, you have obviously done too much and tired yourself out chick. Just think in a few weeks you will be wishing you made the most of being able to sleep, shower, get dressed and go to the toilet as you please, as you will have a baby dictating all this to you! :)

I found an ice pack helped my itching as it kind of numbed the skin. You have prob already tried it though. (tip- get the cheap plastic ice cube bags that freeze in a big sheet IYSWIM, the ones you are just meant to tear the cubes out of. Then you can drape the 'sheet' over your bump, or else wet a tea towel and freeze it fairly flat then drape it over.)

ETA: just remembered from when I had eczema that an oat bath would really help it. Tie a flannel filled with oats over the tap, then run your bath through it iyswim. It really helps. Also a spoon of bicarb in your bath is good for itching. You could try going to GP as they may be able to find something they can prescribe for when it gets really bad. It's just that all the little things mount up at the end and cause it to be a great big misery! Hope you get it sorted.

I barely had any afterpains with any until number 5.. when they more than made up for it and I was in agony for 12 hours!

Scratching makes them worse.. it makes them spread faster and increase quicker.. it also just makes them itchier.. like flea bites.. lol.. they are fine if ignored but the minute you think about them they drive you loopy.

Have you tried aftersun on them? Aloe Vera? Ice packs?

Every time it thinks of being itchy slap some more on..so your tum is being massaged rather than scraped at. the last thing you need is to be breaking the skin and introducing infection!!

Avoid anything on your tummy too.. I wore a nightie or smooth dress the last few weeks with all of mine as anything with a waistband itched to death.

    CAFC- also found this:

Do get your midwife to check them out just in case it is something easy to solve and you are suffering with it.

No, don't feel bad for having a moan:)

I remember trying everything to stop the itching with ds1, nothing worked except a cold wet flannel pressed against the area, but obviously there is a limit to how long you can do this for.

I got so many stretch marks with ds1 that I have never bothered checking if I gained any extra ones with ds2 or ds3...or this time either. I am also so grotesque I would never be showing of my body anyway so I couldn't really care less!!

I am sitting here getting more and more annoyed with dh as I have been asking him all day to go and scoop up the dead bird that the cat has decided to leave us in the garden. At least it isn't in the house this time!
