barksavingmad wrote: »Hey lovely peeps!
So sorry for delay I have only just got out of hospital so haven't had time to come on here. Apologies for not reading the last weeks posts but I have a good excuse as you probably know.
Zachary William was born by emergency CS at 5.18am on 21st May weighing in at 9Ibs 2oz.
Somewhat of a story and not too sure whether to write my birth story or not. It was a prolapse cord. Anyway, I will ponder whilst I sleepwalk around this 'new mummy again' world! I'll be back, just need to get into swing of things first!
Hugs, love, labour vibes and everything else to all you lovely friends who have been great company during this journey.
Barking x

MoneySaver - That one was a set of 2 from m&s, just the standard non underwired as opposed to maternity ones. I think it was £12 for the box of 2. If you have one nearby though, and they stock the maternity stuff, can really recommend the Peacocks Nursing bra, £4, looks pretty, undoes easily for feeding and really ruddy comfy...
Obviously back from town...... i defo dont think i should go out by myself anymore LOL totally overdid it, obviously forgot anything i bought I'd have to carry. Hit some of the charity shops in town and was finding loads of books for DH. He likes a few authors so I kept finding ones that he hasnt got yet, and at like £2 a go or less, seems silly to not buy them LOL
Bought myself some fat knickers WOOOHOOO my butt might be covered once more, got a nice overbody bag ideal for going out with baby as I cant be doing with a shoulder bag with pushchair etc. And got fathers day cards, thankyou presents for parents for helping us so much with baby, and also found some good baby bits in charity shops as well, just clothes but the right size for the season when he's born. Kept thinking if it was nice and hot summer im gonna struggle, and at like 20p a go..... doesnt matter what he does to them, but also picked up some brand new bits still with tags!
but still got totally exhausted and it was raining but i had too many bags to put up umbrella, and couldnt sit down on any of the benches etc as they're all wet, debated going to starbucks (craving a coffee now) but it was packed......
oh bought some munchies as wellshhhhhhhhhhhh noone else need know about th 2 packs of oreos or the 4 pack of mars bars
Oh and KK - Its perfectly normal to panic about it, I had the same thing. Just keep a list going of everything you have got, whats essential that you need to get and then a list of things that would be nice to have. Ideally you pay very little for the essentials and get the wanted bits for free/giftsWealth is not measured by currency0 -
