Afternoon all. Congrats to MGEB dying to see pics and read birth storhy - I have a morbid fascination with these. My decorating is nearly finished so would b quite happy to go into labour during half term week so I can ship my little one of to nannas and not worry about her missing school.
CAFC we are due on same day I really want to see yr bump pic can u do a link or something I'm on facebook but i'm too hopeless to put a link up or anything. I have complete and totally understanding/sympathy for the itching i'm like a walking oil slick of bio oil but it only lasts for about 10 mins before i start itching again. Do you have any feelings as to whether u will have the baby early or late?
Smartie how worrying 4 u - take it easy and try to relax (easier said than done)
Does anyone know where I can get a nice cheapish change mat suitable for boy or girl.Mam 2 Big E Nov 4 & Little A June 10:happylove0 -

Please excuse the horrific-ness of my hair and general appearence. I just honest to god cannot be bothered with anything LOL
Im flitting between thinking i'll go early/late. Part of me feels like "knowing my luck" I'll still be preggers come July LOL but then another part of me is like fixating on all these little signs, like getting stronger BH, increase (sorry tmi) "fluid", i keep thinking bump is getting lower, but DH thinks its because I wanna see it...:rotfl:
Quite frankly I'd like to give birth tomorrow just to get rid of this itching. Its so bad, I've had some of them burst the skin (ewwww) and theyve bled..... will remember to mention that to midwife tomorrow as well, although Im sure she wont give a flying rats.....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Yup, normal!barksavingmad wrote: »Hey lovely peeps!
So sorry for delay I have only just got out of hospital so haven't had time to come on here. Apologies for not reading the last weeks posts but I have a good excuse as you probably know.
Zachary William was born by emergency CS at 5.18am on 21st May weighing in at 9Ibs 2oz.
Somewhat of a story and not too sure whether to write my birth story or not. It was a prolapse cord. Anyway, I will ponder whilst I sleepwalk around this 'new mummy again' world! I'll be back, just need to get into swing of things first!
Hugs, love, labour vibes and everything else to all you lovely friends who have been great company during this journey.
Barking x
Congrats!!
I am 39+1 today ............ I want my baby now ........ I can't do waiting any longer. I have been on a long walk this morning but still no labour signs
Someone mentioned 'Spatone' a few pages ago - my midwife suggested me trying it last week but I keep forgetting to look for it in the shops - is it any good?SAHM Mummy tods (born Oct 2007) and dd (born June 2010)0 -
Thanks CAFC - God can't believe I didn't look in Boots. Loving the bump pics will definately have to take some. I said optimistically to OH this morning do you think my bumps dropped - nah your kidding yourself he said - not the response I was hopeing 4. I am resigned to going over but would love to be early - went 6 days over with my little girl doesn't seem like a long time but it did then.
I would said a friend request but i'm struggling to find how ( begining to worry about my iq today) but if you get one from a pb with pic of blond in green dress, little one in pink and a hubby its me your due date buddy.:DMam 2 Big E Nov 4 & Little A June 10:happylove0 -
Afternoon all. Just come home from the midwife and feel a little shocked! 1st she springs the news that she needs more blood from me as she messed up the spelling of my name and it was rejected. I am not great with needles but it needs doing. She then asks if i would mind the new student midwife doing it. I asked how many times she had done it before and they reply was that she hasnt. Affraid i declined the offer even though i know they need to learn. She then i am sure made it hurt on purpose!
That done she takes blood pressure - all fine. Student then tries to find heartbeat and after about 10 mins and 2 applications of squiggy jelly still no heartbeat. I could feel it moving so not really worried.
She then says 'you still keen on homebirth then?' My shocked face gave her the answer as this is not my ideal situation. The previous 2 have been born in under 2 hours and i realise it may just happen at home but i do plan on getting to hospital, receiving my pethadine and then giving birth!
'We must keep an eye on the size of your baby too as the difference between the last 2 was quite big' she says - my interpretaion is your going to have a 10lb baby - good luck!
I am sure i will be fine but just needed a rant to people who understandMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

I had a 10lb 2oz baby and I'm still here :rotfl: don't worry, it will all be fine. Midwife is probably wondering how she managed to get both feet in her mouth at the same time :rotfl:
Well I missed my bus, saw it go (well the top of it over a hedge!) when I was round the corner. It did stop to let people off but I wasn't going to run, that would have given everyone a right laugh:o
Fortunately I was being organised and catching the 1.45 because they're only hourly and have been really really late the last few weeks, making the 2.45 too late for school! But the 1.45 was early hence me missing it so should be ok for the school run today.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

KK- Are you on housing benefit? That'll defo help when baby gets here, you'll get child benefit as well, not a lot but in the first few months of baby's life they're not gonna cost you too much anyways. Plus you'll need to say to OH that as much as its nice to buy everything new, saving what you can, and getting what you "need" for as little as possible is the most important thing right now...
And you'll be fine. Me and DH are in the same situation. I'm not working, he's not earning a lot, we've got debts etc....but you will find a way, and to be honest I'd rather go through it now, then when the baby is old enough to be "affected" by it,and aware of the situation iyswim....
Not on housing benefit, we qualify for abit but to be honest last time I had the forms through they scared me that much, there seemed to be hundreds of pages, and it didn't seem worth the hassle. I think they can do these forms when you do the JSA forms!
I am sure we'll be fine, think I just panic! Think its just the initial purchases you need for a baby, we have got most of them now, and I don't think the baby will mind having a few 2nd hand bits!
Thanks Fuzz, its nice reading about someone in a similar situation. Maybe I am taking the 'scenic' route also!!! :rotfl:
Congrats Bark on your little man!!!0
