Thanks for the link Fuzz :) I shall check it out when my manager goes out ;)

Smartie; Good on you!!! I have had many arguements with OHs mum about reuseables, and I tell her its my baby I shall use what I bloody want!! I am undecided with nappies as my OH has such a different opinion and I am kinda thinking about the moneysaving aspect, as it looks like I will be the only one working  I have to confess I do love the traditional prams, not as its 'what your supposed to have' but because I really like them :)

Cafc: Glad I'm not the only one who's OH probably wont get involved with the nappy changing! He kept going on about these reuseables, and I said to him who will be washing them, and he just looked at me, I know I will have to do it as I do all of the washing currently (the rare occasion he puts some washing in the machine he wont even wash one item of mine, its only his, and he has this terrible habbit of when its finished leaving it in the machine for days!) ewwww!!

Why am I with this man? Why am I choosing to reproduce with him?!?! Lol

LOL My god, they truly are cut from the same cloth....
Admittedly mine will put my clothes in the wash (too lazy to seperate) but wont actually put any powder in nor turn on the machine..... so effectively i should just do it all myself :)

Kitkat- tbh in your situation (ie you having to go back to work, having two littlies and 2 older ones, and the fact that you may not use them for anymore children) I wouldn't bother with re-useables either. My main thing was the cost saving when using them for subsequent children as you save money the first time, then any subsequent children are basically cost free and I knew I wanted 2 or 3 bubba's.

If you really did want to try them then like you say, the council schemes can be really good for savings, and the re-sale value on second hand sites is OK to get some of your money back.

I also think cost wise with disposables at least your cost's are spread out so it becomes affordable iyswim.

I love the traditional prams, not because they are parent facing but because they are all bouncy and lovely. I know I keep going on about it but I LOVE my silver cross ebay bargain!!! I had the maclaren, from birth with DD, but when they are tiny you can't hang bags on the handles and with a walking toddler and a new baby plus all the stuff that goes with them, I needed something sturdier.

TBH my little one spent so little time in the buggy, parent facing wasn't an issue that concerned me. Plus DD was a nosy madam like her mummy and couldn't of cared less what I was up to anyway! :D

I didn't use the sleeping bags at first, I figured generations had made do with blankets. Then a friend gave me one and I was a convert!! I've picked all mine up from freecycle and hand me downs so I didn't have to fork out for them, but now supermarkets do them so cheap anyway.

I'm off to spend my maternity grant now! :D I just ordered pram mattress and car seat now just got to head to the shops and buy cotton wool, some vests and muslins etc... and a few treats for my wash bag!

Phew! Epic post, I'll give you all a rest from my ramblings now! :D

    Morning everyone :)
The midwife has been to look around and I'm all booked in for a homebirth!!
She went through all the situations where I may have to be transferred in, but seeing as my last two were straight forward she said there shouldn't be a problem. She told me to ring the birthing centre as soon as I was in pain or when my waters went so they could prepare for coming out to me. I have to go and pick up the homebirthing pack this afternoon from the birthing centre at the hospital! I thought she might bring one with her but she said they have to make them up to order so they can't carry them round in the car. Oh and I'm not allowed to collect it alone as it is a really heavy box:cool: so when hubby gets home at 1ish today, that's where we'll be going!

I watched DDs class assembly this morning - how cute! She had to stand up and say 'I can see moon and stars' lol :D

I got the cleaning done last night too - 2 hours on my hands and knees doing the floors!!! Once I got on a roll I couldn't stop lol Baby must be in a good position now :D
    :heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:

Hi everyone, you have been busy talking :) will catch up again lol. When i went to the hospital yesterday i found out that i can have a natural birth, i thought that as i have had two c - sections that i would have to have another c -section, but apparntley it has now changed and they are letting women choose. I have at the moment said i would like to have a c-section, i didn't have time to really think about it, felt put on the spot by the question.

Now i am thinking about having a natural birth but to be honest am a bit scared about it, as i had a tramatic time when i did have a natural birth and i was induced. I think the inducing made it worse.

Has anyone had a c section then gone on to have natural birth. Also if i do have the natural birth, i would really like to try and avoid having a epidural. How affective are ten machines. Do water births help. Has anyone got any tips please for a natural birth as iam going towards this.
