What to do when in labour? Started irregular contractions this morning at 604, still irregular, have already cleaned the inside of my dishwasher (!), sent kids off to school with OH (oh, do I have to take them in today then???!!!) and read DS1 Chapter 2 of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory .... typically I had a day off cleaning and tidying yesterday and the house is a complete state! Lent my parents my steam cleaner as well! Oh well, this must be the 'nesting' urge I've heard about ...

Don't feel bad, we all have certain things which are important to us and I don't do loads of things I'm 'supposed' to do! I don't use re-useables for the environment either, just cos they are cheap!! :D

As for changing I just kept a basket downstairs with all the change stuff in and changed DD on my lap. It can be a bit fiddly but if you get used to it from when they are tiny then it makes it much easier when they hit the wriggly stage. If he doesn't want to do that could he just use a change mat on the sofa or something to save having the table downstairs? Or even kitchen table, if you have a mat and they aren't left at all they would be OK?

have cleaned kitchen and got two loads of washing out!
All my downstairs skirting boards blitzed, too!
Wow, wish I could work this fast usually!

Now if only this little one could arrive before the afternoon school run, that would be most convenient!!!

Have you got a gymball? I bounced loads when getting irregular contractions, I didn't want to risk them dying off lol x

Staying upright and moving about plenty is supposed to encourage baby downwards.....

Good Luck and fast labour vibes coming your way:)

Congratulations on all the team blues that have popped up - thought there was only pinks at one point!

Tinks, YAY for getting this far!

Bonty, quick and easy vibes for you there.

Nene, bet you're super excited about your 4D scan, roll on 4o'clock!

Can't comment on the hair situation, although you do suit short hair CAFC. Hairdressers hate me, cos I walk in and say 'couple of inches off the ends please' and that's it, I just don't present them with any outlet for creativity.

Went to the free pamper evening that they run at the Sure Start, didn't get pampered, as it was absolutely boiling and couldn't be bothered. But got a bit of info, that might be useful. OHs comment on the evening was about the women running it - 'She used to knock about with (his ex) - she's a right dirty b!!ch'.
