great news tinks. come and join us on here now!!
I was a bit naughty today. went to a work related event and as it was a bit pants I left early and nipped into townexchanged an unopened pack of M&S knickers for a bigger size, got some bits from 99p shop and had a look at disposeable nappies in boots to get my free bag. Didn't get in the end as worked out if I made a list I could use the £5 off £20 spend voucher at the same time
I will be using real nappies but am wondering how many disposeables to get? Literally have no idea!!
am a bit worried that I'm still not really feeling movements. Sometimes I think I do but then I just went for a poo (still constipated boo) and what I have been feeling is I'm sure bowel pain/contractions etc. I'm growing and position of bump seems to move so hopefully all is ok but am dreading the scan now (i'm 20+5 now and scan is Monday).
better go and get on with dinner.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Great news on your scan Tinks!
Rach; try drinking hot or cold drinks, this always gets my bump moving! Had a cup of tea last night and every sip I had bubs kicked me to death! I am 28 weeks tomorrowI think everyone is different with movements, you feel them at different weeks and I know my MIL said something about the position of the placenta affects this?! sometimes I get kicked so much its almost painful, then it stops and I worry! These babies are very naughty!
Guna speak to my manager tomorrow about adding into my risk assessment about room temperature, my thermometre read 30 degrees C today in the office and I just feel this is too hot for a pregnant lady, it could have been hotter as my thermometre only read upto 30 for some reason!0 -
ooooh and my HIPG money went into my account today0

CAFC- yeah I'm not too worried about growth as I am sure this little monkey is a bit bigger than my DD at the same stage, I'm 99% sure it is just them being back to back which is making me measure smaller. The problem is every time I am measured bubs is lying a different way so they have nothing to compare it to! ha ha! Def likes to keep us guessing to the end. First it was oblique, then OA, now OP! Luckily I'm not worried though, at least I get an extra look at little one (maybe I'll get a sneaky flash of some baby bits so I know what team we are, not that hubby will be happy! he he!)
Confuzzled- Thanks for the turning vibes! Yeah I was really funny at first about second hand but once I saw how clean they get I worried about it less (plus my addiction had to be fed, and I def didn't have the pennies!) I can understand why you wouldn't want second hand though it does seem weird- I wouldn't wear second hand pants
I'll have a scout about for you later, but I got mine from an ebay seller, brand new in multipacks (junior joy) and they worked out at 1.10 each iirc. Also got some brilliant wraps from same seller for cheap!0 -
could hubby not drop you off outside then go and park?
Doesn't drive, rather annoyingly. I keep trying to get him to learn but no joy yet. I think that means he never will really. I mean, if your pregnant wife is hobbling round on crutches and you're still not bothered, when will you be!?
Have a look at this ladies and let me know what you think. It's a copy of a mumsnet email re reusable nappies:
Hi xxx
Had a look through my collection this afternoon and I have:
4 Lollipop pop n gro onesize nappies (2 in white and 2 in yellow) with 8 boosters - would want £6 each for them as paid £15 each when I bought them and extra for the boosters as well
5 Motherease onesize nappies in natural colour and 5 bamboo snap-in liners - would want £20 for the pack
4 Motherease rikki wraps (2 small in ocean and savannah designs) and 2 medium in rainforest and Asia designs) - would want £4 each for them
20 fleece liners - £8
Bucket, mesh and tea tree oil - £8
Think that's the lot, I can't remember if you said something about not wanting to use nappy wraps so just disregard the wraps and the Motherease nappies if so as they require wraps to be used with them. If you want to come and have a look at them, you're welcome to or if you want to make an offer on the whole lot or don't agree with the prices then just let me know. I don't really want to take much less though as they have never been used so are in perfect condition. You're also welcome to take the free nappies that I got with the xxx city council real nappy scheme as I'll never use them.
If you've got any questions, just message me.
Thanks
xxx

Rach i wouldnt worry to much about the movements i couldnt feel much at all until i was past 20 weeks infact i was at my scan and the sonographer said how lively she was and i looked at her gone out as i couldnt feel anything. Apparently i have an anterior placenta which makes the movements harder to feel. She is making up for it now though and kicks the hell out of me :-D
Tinks congrats on the scan going well its that lovely i can realx a bit now moment :-)
Cafc Yay for your money coming through i know you have been worried as they were taking so long about it :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0
