    morning ladies,

Rach I agree with everyone else, I didn't feel bubs move until after my 22 week scan, and hubby still cant feel him - have found the best way to stop bubs fidgeting is to get OH to put hand on my belly!

CAFC its the long hair vote for me as well, as it can be very quickly tied up out of the way.

You ladies make me feel really bad, as I am going with disposable nappies. As this is our first and have no idea what we are doing, we decided that trying to work out resuables was too difficult.

quick question for you knowledgeable people. Changing nappies. OH wants to keep a changing stand downstairs, so to save time and effort going upstairs to the nursery and to have one of those changing mats that fit on top of the cot. I don't think having a changing stand in front room is quite right. What do you lot do? OH has a bad back so reckons the changing stand will stop him bending over to do it on the floor.

I also feel bad as I am planning on using disposables. I would like to try reuseables but it seems alot of hassle and its alot of money to fork out if I decide its not for me. OH wants to use reuseables but he doesnt want to do any of the work, like washing them, and I think when I return to work it will be too much for me to keep up with, as I have got lots of exams/ college work next year, and obviously I will have a baby! I am hoping my local council still does the free sample scheme as I would love to try one without having to buy a load, then I might change my mind! It does seem a waste just chucking the nappies away, but I dont really fancy having to keep washing them! I feel lazy :(

How much money does using reuseables save you? (Sorry I really dont know about costs of nappies!)

:rotfl:I wonder if any of you pink ladies will be buying Jordan's new range of baby wear? :rotfl:

Ick, it's got her initials plastered all over the little outfits. One question - why?

I'm using disposables... AND FEEL GREAT ABOUT IT!!!:D We live in a world where we have freedom of choice as a parent (to some extent;)) and I'm not going to feel bad about my choices!!! I'm not going to feel bad about not having a proper parent facing pram, not using those sleeping bags and buying yummy scrummy BRAND NEW little dinky baby clothes!!:j:j:j

    Hello:)

Been having a panic all night:o I've been feeling a very active bean for lots of weeks now and he is ALWAYS beating me up at night. Yesterday bump didn't "feel right" and I felt nothing all night:eek: Got DH up at 5am for work and asked him to get a can of fizzy drink for me... so for breakfast it was a can of Tango with lots of ice cubes... AND BABY DID LOTS OF WIGGLES:D:D:D Phew!

BUT he's nowhere near moving as much as normal??? Do you think it's cos he's shifted position or something?? I see midwife on Tues luckily.

Bexta I have to admit..its not as bad as I was expecting:o but how self-obsessed must you be to have your initals slapped over every chav baby in the country?!?:rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks guys, feel better on the nappy front. Kit Kat I am returning to work really early after having bubs so the washing was another reason for not using resuables.

Nene good luck for the scan, hope you get some great pics.

Nene hope the scan goes well and bean behaves so you get some lovely piccies.

Bonty Good luck and loads of quick and easy labour vibes.

I use disposables but i have been thinking about getting some washables for home use and just using the disposables when out and about.

Smartie he could just be running out of room to do his usual active wriggles i always found that past a certain point they stop there river dancing and starting figure skating if you see what i mean so instead of loads of little sharp movements they became more fluid and took longer. If your worried then go get yourself checked out i'd rather be a paranoid mom that let anything happen :-)

    Morning Fatties!

There is something going on with me.... I can't put my finger on it....just feel "weird". Woke up at 5:25am and was awake up till DH's alarm, got up with him, took dog for walk, made his lunch and a cup of tea, sat down with a cup of hot blackcurrant stroking the dog who just sits next to me (he's got ADHD our dog so its a bit surprising), had a shower, baby is all over one side of my bump, so feel a bit lop sided LOL but I've had some right weird twinges, like braxton hicks but its almost like it goes right round me and up to my chest......well weird.....

Anyway, had a little lay down and then just had brekkie. Can whole heartedly recommend Morrisons blueberry wheats.... I feel virtuous now I've had fibre and fruit LOL

HB finally got paid into account so need to put some credit on my phone in case i need to call madwife/husband...

And freakishly postwoman has just knocked and delivered my tens hire....

KitKat - I really wanted to use re-usables but DH was such a pain in the backside about it, that I gave up trying to convince him. Its gonna be hard enough getting him to change one that goes in a bin let alone one he's gonna have to pay some attention to....

    Thanks hun:)

I was intending to phone the day assessment unit but now I'm feeling little wiggles I'm not so worried.

Guess whats in my washing machine??? No not my hubby... but some of DS's baby clothes and blankets I kept:D They were smelling a bit musty which is understandable after sitting in a wardrobe for 14 YEARS!!!:rotfl:I never thought I would be using them again!:o

As far as Jordan's baby wear goes - my initials are KP, so I could just tell everyone it's my initials plastered all over the clothes :p Don't think I'll be getting any though, it's not really to my taste.

I was wondering about getting a changing table too, but thinking it might not be worth the expense for the amount it will be used - I can't see me carrying bubs upstairs every time s/he needs a nappy change.

I'm also hoping to use reusable nappies, but if we get bubs into the nursery I'd like, they provide the nappies (pampers I think), so we'd only be using reusables part time. I figure that's still long enough to make it worthwhile though.

Good luck with the scan today, nene - can't wait to see piccies :D

And labour vibes for bonty and anyone else who needs them.
