you are very right confuzzled! :) I have treated myself to a silver cross pram from ebay (not coach built, but with a sprung chassis, and only £60!) and had to get a new mattress for it. But apart from that I mainly just want cute, baby outfits but obv need to wait until I know which colour we have :)

I also have to order my car seat from kiddicare but I am getting a new one for my DD and putting bubs in her old one, I also need to wait for HIPG- hopefully will be in soon!

that sounds like a bargain - were the nappies on offer? want to go and get my bag soon too!

Now I might have to go to asda which is kind of on the way home, rather than Sainsburys. i've never been to the asda but it's nearish work so could be lethal if its decent!! DH's sister had a little boy last week and we need to get something for him...he was 10lb 5oz (ouch ouch ouch) so am wondering whether to get 0-3 or 3-6 months. What's the betting i'll end up with something for our baby too?! I'm gonna be out of here at 4pm sharp today...feels like a long day already even though i didn't get in til 10am and my hips and lower back are in agony :(
Oh yeah forgot to mention, in Boots the Pamper newborn nappies were 2 packs for £6, you have to buy these or size 2's for the changing bag but you should also have a £1 off voucher for the newborn nappie anyway making it 2packs for £5 as well as the free changing bag:money:...did that makes sense??

10lb 5:eek::eek: Ouch! poor woman will be walking like John Wayne for days:rotfl:

snap;) the disposables are for hubbies use! he's not keen on real nappies for some reason!?!?!?
any recommendations for real nappies??? I'm liking the look of tots bots but tbh I find it all confusing and figure they must be all pretty similar??

sorry for the uber postage again ladies:o its yet another quiet afternoon in the office

Ooo get you :) that could be a major selling point;):)

No way!!! I'm staying well away from baby clothes! I go mental on myself so buying for an iddy diddy cute person is gonna be too dangerous:p....I'm letting the grandparents and Daddy do that:D I'm gonna stick to the basic clothing for Pumpkin and thats it....honest:A:rotfl:
I've seen the George sale...so many cute things, Grandma H has already got Pumpkin the reindeer outfit:o
I think I've decided to get bubs 1 item per week and hopefully that'll break it down cost wise and keep me from going mental buying stuff:o:D The bigger stuff(cot etc) we'll get when DH gives the go-ahead..he's not excited yet as there's nothing that he can notice, apart from my lack of waist!, so until then I'll stick with the other stuff:)
Just wish he could get more excited :( ho hum...I'm sure he will later on when he can feel kicks and stuff :)

My OH was the same, really wanted a baby and when I showed him the positive test he said 'ewww gets that thing away from me, you've peed on that' lol :p he acts kool about it, but I can tell he is well excited, he talks to his mates about it saying 'roll on August' and when I show him the little baby outfits he cant hide his smile! Men eh!! Why cant they just be excited!! I am sure ur DH will feel more part of it when he feels the kicks, they are pretty kool! I love lounging on the sofa and watching my belly moving, its quite amazing :D

Your very sensible not clothes shopping, I find it hard shopping for myself, but I LOVE baby shopping :) I could spend £1000's, if I had it!!!

Confuzzled- I know everyone has their opinions on it and it can get confusing, but we used popolini 2 size (exactly the same as motherease sandies IIRC) with the motherease airflow wraps and they were brilliant. We have tried quite a few different types prefolds (good value for money, very adaptable as you can fold them differently for different shaped babies, fine on littlies but once DD was moving about we had a lot of leaks, looking back I think it was the wraps though (tommee tippee) as the motherease ones were brilliant and I have in emergencies used them with a tea towel/ hand towel and no leaks at all!!) we have also used imse vimse which I didn't get on with (they were freecycled and I freecycled them on) also I didn't like the tot's bot's wraps but they were the older style ones. I liked the bambino mio wraps but not the nappies but like I say motherease gets my vote- I <3 them!!!

Only advice on choosing I would say is try to get wraps that have the extra leg gusset as this stops the leaks way better than the single leg elastic.

he he! Thanks confuzzled! I'm no expert at all, but I have tried quite a few different types and so have worked out ones that fit in with my family well. If you have any questions at all then feel free to ask me/ PM me. I love talking about nappies (saddo that I am) but I am bias as I don't like the all in one types :) I only like the shaped nappy and wrap ones.

ALso the nappylady website is great for any Q's you might have, I love it!

in that case:) whats your opinion on the one size nappies???? I prefer this idea to getting the different sizes as they grow but not 100% convinced by them. I've been on nappy lady website briefly for a look .....it confused my poor little brain:o:rotfl:
