hi all,
smartie - bummer about the cot, kiddicare do space saver cots - any good? link here
thanks for all the comments earlier. I had a chat to my mum on the way to work as she text to ask if I felt better this morning and I said I certainly didn't!! Mum has kicked my sister into touch a bit I think and understands, in fact she pointed out that she (mum) actually told me not to go and visit a couple of months ago because I was so tired!
kitkat - that's exactly it, my sis is welcome here anytime, she only works 3 days a week so could def come. She says its too ahrd with a little one but I'll be in the same boat soon and she never really came before anyway.
Anyway, am trying to be chilled. can't get on at work and it feels like i have been here hours already. I am in agony with my hips and lower back (hope i'm not getting spd) wonder if some kind of cushion would help but not sure how i'm going to sit here for another 2 hours (earliest i can leave is at 4pm). to cheer myself up i've counted the days i still have to work til i plan to start mat leave (i am hoping to finish 3rd sept which would give me 4 full weeks until due date - don't think i will be able to manage the journey after that!) if we take our 2 weeks planned hol in june that's 65 days to work...which sounds like too many!!
on a more positive note dh seems a bit less eeyoreish and has phoned to ask me about some opera tickets that are going cheap mid june. Will probably be uncomfy for me but might redeem last night!!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Smartie- you have probs already considered it, but the ikea basic cot is only £59 inc mattress and it comes up very small. Not sure if that would fit in?0

I can recommend the ikea cot fernlie mentions had one for DS1 and although the sides dont move it is a lovely sturdy compact cot i gave it to a friend who has used it for her 3 children and it still looks as good as new :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

What do we think the cheapest way to send a rather large box of clothes will be the box is about the same size an average microwave and weighs approx 5kg :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Can someone send me the link to the ikea cot please??:A
I LOVE YOU RACH:kisses2::D
The link to those cots has made my day... they're actually smaller in length than the cribs I was looking at!!!:D
I was getting quite tearful on my search for a crib. We knew what cot we were gonna get and I just assumed it was going to fit in... so I was really disappointed when the space didn't happen:o:(
Thank goodness for you lovely ladies and this thread:j

xmas, you can calculate postage on the royal mail website and see the different options, parcels/parcelforce would be cheaper for that...but I'd also look into couriers as might be cheaper!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
