    Evening all

Haven't read back sorry, been busy today and have ds1's friend over atm. Need to drop him back home shortly then finish putting the new trampoline together, somewhere along the way need to have a bit of a tidy up and get the kids into bed:)

I have my 34wk MW appt tomorrow morning at 10.40, straight after ds3's MMR jab which is at 10.30:( Poor baby, I hate the jabs as they get older.

I have been getting a lot of discomfort at the bottom of my belly today, mainly when walking but it takes ages to go even once I am sitting/lounging on the sofa!!

Hope everyone is well (any news from MGEB?)

The one size ones are supposedly good, I haven't tried the one size, but my friend who had them said they weren't great at first as a bit bulky, (so if you didn't mind using sposies to start with then not a prob) but after a month or so were great. I had the second size in the 2 size and used these from 5 months no probs so the one size would prob be just as good quality and leaks wise.

I would prob buy the motherease/ popolini 1 size if I was buying now and had money to buy new.

Most of my decisions were based on what I could get free or cheap at the time, so in many ways it was co-incidental what I used. I chose the prefolds and paid for them (and got a council cash back incentive) then the others were either passed on by friends or freecycled, and my lovely popolini's were given as a brand new set from a friend who works on the real nappy council initiative. They were brought to start a scheme which gave out a full set of real nappies to low income families but it never took off so she was finding people who would use them. MSE! :D

    evening all!!!

I'm glad to hear I was missed LOL

weather was lush today,so went for a little walk into town, popped into library, got a couple of books, need to read them asap as i dont think i'll be able to face the walk in a couple of weeks.
bought some cool planters for the yard as well for our herbs which are yet to be grown from seed because DH was being useless today and doing my head in....

I just get really annoyed with him not doing anything to help me out. he knows how hard it is for me to bend, but because he didnt want to because it wasnt "fun" gardening stuff, he wouldnt fill the seed trays so i could plant out the seeds.
Managed to get him to bring down the laundry from upstairs and he puts it in the machine, but thats as far as it goes, no detergent or switching it on!

And then I have to stand for 35 minutes cooking dinner because otherwise he didnt want to cook it till "sometime after 9".....

    GAH!!!!
Plus everything just aches and im feeling really flu-ey!

Ymake- thats really annoyed me now about your MA LOL nowt personal, although he did say something about it being done in date order so im just wondering if your first payment date was before mine...

i really need to clean/sterilise the baby bath/top & tail bowl we got. its just a bit dusty really more than anything....maybe tomorrow.........

I'm not too sure, I guess I've just been lucky. I asked for my MA to start from the 5th of May, sent the form on the 4th and then got my letter today saying I would get my first payment of 3 weeks worth of MA on the 25th May. I was expecting to wait weeks to hear anything and have to chase it up on the phone so I was just so happy not to have to do that. I hope yours gets sorted though, it's horrible waiting for money!

Had a quick read back but been busy for once at work!! Thanks for all your messages re being on team blue, just got to stop myself buying cute blue clothes now!!

Had a busy day and went swimming, then fell on my bum on way into changing room my bum and back hurt but belly is fine and felt little movements from bubs tonight. Don't want to bother docs as seem to be living there at the time but can't help worry, see how I feel in the morning.

Also started getting pain in hips when walking, is this just general pregnancy aches as KitKat said haven't done this before!!

Hi there not too sure how far along you are but hip ache is very common the further on you go it's basically the ligaments in your hips softening readying themsleves for labour thats were the pain comes from the ligamants stretching.
You may also find you get crotch pain too this is the same thing but the pelvis ligaments instead xxx

Kitkat, I've not heard of it. Might you have anything in your medical history that may need checking on?

Confuzzled, the 'other' baby site (baby and bump, shhh) also has a lot of info on real nappies.

Lol, OH has just been seriously traumatised by the sight of Heston Blumenthal squeezing the filling out of a testicle to use as an ingredient. He had to change channel.:rotfl:

It can be depends if the there are any concerns did the midwife mention anything at your last appointment?

Its very normal unless it gets excessive where you have difficulty moving then its just normal ligament aches and pains :-)

Woohoo ive just worked out how to use multiquote lol.

Have just had an apple and i feel really sick now ewww. I think babs has moved from breech to being on her side my bump seems to have gotten wider and i am finding the heart beat on the right hand edge of my bump hopefully she will turn properly. Any ideas how long you have to spend on your hands and knees for it to have any effect???
