Kitkat, I've not heard of it. Might you have anything in your medical history that may need checking on?

Confuzzled, the 'other' baby site (baby and bump, shhh) also has a lot of info on real nappies.

Lol, OH has just been seriously traumatised by the sight of Heston Blumenthal squeezing the filling out of a testicle to use as an ingredient. He had to change channel.:rotfl:

I do suffer badly with my asthma, been hospitalised many times and I think the last time was about a year ago, so I guess that could be why as I am a 'high risk' whatever that means!! I just thought it seemed strange, having another scan?! I wanted another scan to see how much baby has grown but this just seems strange! I have a MW appt next week, I will ask her, I expect she will have no idea   :wall:

It's need for speed in our house! :D Have you checked your notes kitkat? Something may be written on them regarding medical history, etc?

Well, been getting serious shooting pains in the very lower part of my stomach- where you would get period pains. They take my breath away sometimes. Same thing with my lower back. No pattern though, just random, more so the past 3 hours though. Doesnt help with blummin hayfever, each time I sneeze its agony!

    hi all

quiet evening here, went to asda on the way home and bought a cute tigger pj set and some tshirts for new nephew, plus some sleepsuits, a hooded towel and a couple of reduced bits for ours! £20 in all so not too bad. Now I know that asda have so many baby bits it could be dangerous!!

off to bed soon as tired and fancy reading for a bit. sister hasn't phoned tonight, she said she's too busy to speak in the evenings, but of course i am at work daytimes. But it'll all blow over and my mum is coming next week which is fab. Been looking at cottages for holiday in July but not a lot around that's not expensive!

he he! Thanks confuzzled! I'm no expert at all, but I have tried quite a few different types and so have worked out ones that fit in with my family well. If you have any questions at all then feel free to ask me/ PM me. I love talking about nappies (saddo that I am) but I am bias as I don't like the all in one types :) I only like the shaped nappy and wrap ones.

ALso the nappylady website is great for any Q's you might have, I love it!
i found the nappylady great too, must go on there and order some of the extras (bucket, wraps, reusable wipes etc) (don't mind paying a bit more as their service was so good). Think there's a big post higher up about what I'm going for but its basically what we've got free/cheap, which is mainly the rainbow tots bots, plus I have some cotton bottoms and some kooshies that were only a tenner per set on netmums. I put a wanted on netmums and got a great response, the best being 15 brand new rainbow tots for free from a very generous lady, and my friend is also giving me hers. I am going for the motherease wraps though as i've heard they're a lot better.
    Evening all

Had a quick read back but been busy for once at work!! Thanks for all your messages re being on team blue, just got to stop myself buying cute blue clothes now!!

Had a busy day and went swimming, then fell on my bum on way into changing room my bum and back hurt but belly is fine and felt little movements from bubs tonight. Don't want to bother docs as seem to be living there at the time but can't help worry, see how I feel in the morning.

Also started getting pain in hips when walking, is this just general pregnancy aches as KitKat said haven't done this before!!
ouch re the fall, glad you're ok though. I've had a lot of hip pain too, worse when sitting than walking. Am going to ask for an OT assessment at work as I think I might need some cushions for my chair etc. As we hotdesk it's a pain as hard to get the chair adjusted right but they will prob let me have my own chair if needs be.

Morning ...or whatever it is at this time!
I think babs has moved from breech to being on her side my bump seems to have gotten wider and i am finding the heart beat on the right hand edge of my bump hopefully she will turn properly. Any ideas how long you have to spend on your hands and knees for it to have any effect???

As much as you can! I did it for 2 weeks with ds4.Although they can keep turning again for a while yet as they still have room. little tikes :)

1more - Sorry to hear about your mum. x It must be stressful for you.

Kitkat - Thanks for your comments re my work. Tbh I'm glad to be out of it, its all worked out in the end as I didnt want to go back after this baby anyway. its too much working FT with a large family. Re your 33 week appointment. Maybe its the norm for your hospital under consultant care ? If you cant think it'll be anything else. It'll be nothing to worry about I'm sure but it doesnt help getting these letters does it. :)

Redmel I hate all the jabs, my daughter ..hey you can also say that soon too.. ! :)..gives the nurse a right dirty look when she had the first baby ones. Good luck for tomorrow.

Ohh did i tell everyone I have my scan on Friday ! who hooo :j:D

Morning all, I am up at 5:30am with lovely cramps in lower stomach still, just above my foof and sometimes in my lower back. Ouch! :( I should be in bed enjoying my mat leave!

Dont want to ring MW as they will just tell me to go in for obs and I will be bored out of my mind. I havent had any other symptoms (apart from runny nose/bunged up) so this cant be it can it? Have any of you more experienced ladies had this? Im 37 weeks now. Baby is fine, still moving around, no changes there.

    Morning Michelle

It could be the start you just never know until they kick in properly then there is no mistaking it. With the first i went to bed with back ache and by 2am i was having very painfull contractions, 2nd one i got up can you believe around 2am again to go to the toilet and my waters went 20 minutes later contractions started and with the 3rd they kept coming and going for days i would start having mild contractions would last a few hrs then they would go until the 6th sept when they came on and stayed all day and everything kicked off properly about 7pm.

Fingers crossed for you not sure if you want bubs out or to stay put for a while so you can enjoy your maternity so here are some Labour vibes you can have them if you want them ;-) x

Suzy - Glad it has all worked out for the best in the end, just a shame you had to be treated like that in the first place.....oh well screw them now;) How exciting for Friday, will you be finding out the sex of the baby?

Barely slept last night, too stressed....everything was just whirling around in my head the whole night. I feel sick now too, dh said he would take the kids to school so I will go and have a little lie down when they all booger off:)
