P.S Am upset KitKat was the only person who noticed I was missing.... WOE IS ME!!!!!

    I noticed too!!!

Have made an additional mw appointment for tonight. Am feeling very low today, lonely isolated and bored. We forgot to put the green bin out for collection this morning, it was full and only gets picked up once per month so that's a real hassle. Perhaps not worthy of this full-on sadness though. Hmmm

Its probably because I'm always "there" posting away from my little unemployed bubble...

Note to anyone claiming MA - I phoned them today as Im getting worried about not having heard anything. Spoke to a lovely welshie, who told me they have a massive backlog of applications awaiting processing. So mine was sent in close to 4 weeks ago, and usually it should take 15 days from receipt to having all your payments set up and ready.
I was told to call back if ive not heard by monday, as my start date for payments for 23/05!!!
    So just be warned!

P.S Courgette - Am super glad you saw a chiro...... I kept talking about it on these threads but i think everyone thought i was some tree hugging hippy.... it is so good for baby as well! We'll be taking Little L to a chiro as soon as we can after birth, as birth is actually really traumatic for baby's and their spines.....

Im lucky I worked in chiropractic so had access to a lot of information regarding birth trauma, vaccinations etc Feel very blessed to know this information, rather than just being told this is whats going to happen to my baby!

Cafc: thats really interesting about taking a baby to a chiro, that is something that I havent even considered, maybe after the birth I will book me and baby in.

Just informed my boss about my leave I wish to take, apparently you have to state you want to take 52 weeks and then inform work 8 weeks before you return to work when you wana come back. Didn't know this :p but now I do!!

Anyone know how long it takes for the HIPG money to go into the account? Just curious as I havent got a card to check my account balance so I will have to pop into town and I am just too lazy atm :rotfl: I only posted it last week.

Cafcgirl- Hm Revenue actually made my day today for a change as I got my letter to say when I would get my first MA payment. So has not been a hassle for me at all to sort out my MA. Sorry you've had to chase it up.

Kitkat- All in all my HIPG took about 8 days from me sending my form and getting the payment in my bank. :)

    CAFC!!;)

Thanks for letting us know of poss MA backlog:)

OK.... we've been busy in the bedroom (:naughty::rotfl:) and a cot WILL DEF NOT FIT IN:eek::eek::eek: So the plan now is to get a crib (which wil last for 6 months - yes???) and then we're going to look into renting our house out then us renting a bigger one because there is no way in hell we're going to fit a bigger baby in:o

There was talk on here the other day about renting/owning etc. I sort of (long story) own this house BUT it's a TINY little 2 bed cottage (for 2 adults, a teenager and baby:eek::eek::eek:) and there's no way we can afford a bigger house right now. The above renting plan may not work/happen and then I don't know what we're going to do.

Anyway... better go browsing the web for a crib now. Oh and a nice bedding set to go with it:D Then I better sort some work out to put into a nearby gallery ready for those holiday makers!!

    Howdy peeps!!! :)

Does anyone know how soon Ill be able to eat after Ive had my caesarean?? Also I have to be at the hospital for 8.30am but dont know when I will have the c-section, just wondered if youre allocated a time slot or you go in and wait ie like a production line - NEXT!!! :)
hi yorky both of mine were emergency sections but i do know from my friend that they generally do them at a certain time but if there are any emergency sections to be done they take piority over yours so you could end up waiting.
As for eating i had both of mine in the early hours of the morn so went straight to sleep but there was no prob with me having breakfast.
I'm pretty sure there is no reason why you couldn't eat staright away after although you can get some pretty bad heartburn with a section but they should give you rantidine to counteract it.

Kitkat never heard of that. They should automatically presume you are taking 52 wks then if you want to go back early you have to give them 4wks notice or 28days of your return date. Mind you i always give my place a return date before i go so there is no confusion :-)

How come Smartie gets to swear? :p It always blips me - you must be special!

CAFC, I did wonder where you were, but didn't want to seem stalkerish either.

Kitkat, my HiPG took about a week from start to finish.

Ugh, I just feel blimp like today and am having a sulk. Trying to cheer myself up by looking at dresses to treat myself with, but don't want to spend a fortune. I'm thinking maybe a wrap style, so I can use it after as well if BFing is successful.
