    Morning all,

Rach, just try and ignore family arguments, etc at the moment. At this time in your life you should be thinking about yourself- youre the priority. And possibly speaking to your hubby about what your sister has been texting might make things a little bit more strained between you and your other half. Let things die down a bit and plan a bit of you and hubby time tonight- slob out in front of TV together or something, watch something you both find funny.

Hope you have a good day!

Hello - I am 17weeks 1day today - I wonder if you can help me. I think I felt the baby move on Saturday night but nothing since. I am getting abit worried, is that normal. My midwife said my bump will also get loads bigger between 16 - 20 weeks but I haven't noticed alot of difference. Is this normal????

Hi, From the guidelines at my work, you have to hand in notice by end of 15 weeks before baby is born but this is just day due, day expecting to go off on maternity. Then MatB1 form doesnt have to be handed in until you receive it.
I got mine a few weeks ago, but stupid HR dept have lost it, midwife wont give me a replacement( which i fully understand due to fraud) so big palavar. Feel work is so unsupportive to pregnant women, they just make me want to cry.
Havent had my risk assessment yet, even though i have been asking for it for 14 weeks now, now i have to go see physio about hip pain which i feel is there fault!

  • Movements are irratic at the start and seem to develop a pattern beyond 20 weeks. Lie down or have a bath or try drinking something very cold or setting something cold on your bump - these seem to be the things that gets bump more active, when your busy & walking around all day it's easy not to realise your being kicked/punched ( enjoy it while it lasts )

Everyone's bump grows at different rates, depends on previous size, muscle tone, what way baby is lying, if you have been sick etc etc It'll be big soon enough and you'll be cursing when your walking into doors etc

    Try not to worry

Kitkat - I'm with you and the jumpy legs , when you say baby has the shivers do you mean when your sitting quietly and your bump shakes like a bowlful of jelly - I get that alot I have come to the conclusion that it bump kicking high and punching low making my bump move all roads & directions -feels very strange
Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:

my OH does the lists for me, he is obsessed with getting exactly what it tells you you need, no of sleepsuits etc, only prob is different lists say different things.
I just make up lists of jobs for him to do.
Have started think about what i ned to do after baby is born though too, seems like there will be an awful lot of form filling!

It is when sitting quietly, I can feel it shivering and OH can feel it thru my belly, it is very strange! Every night I try to sleep on my left side and the baby digs down my left side and goes right by my hip and kicks, it hurts like hell so now I have to sleep on my right side (altho I have been told this isnt the best for circulation)

    Morning all,

I'm counting down the days until Friday when hopefully we can find out the babys flavour :j We're very excited but not bothered either way as long as its healthy. :)

If you remember me mentioning that work was naff and they were treating me badly ? No risk assessment , no desk or chair to sit on on my first day back from mat leave etc...I've not been on much as I've been stressed and down with it all. They tried to get rid of me for being pregnant by taking my job away from me. Im off sick now and looks like i can start all my annual leave when my sick note runs out and then go onto mat leave at 29 weeks. Im so not going back there!

I think its shocking that people feel that they can treat people this way especially when they are growing a baby! :(

Right I really need to read back a few pages but havent got the time ... have we had any births recently..can anyone update me ??

Hi - Its completely normal and even normal not to feel them until further on in your pregnancy. Try lying down and relaxing and see if you feel anything then they wont be big movements yet so you may be missing them.

Every one grows at different rates, try not to compare yourself to others , you may just suddenly get bigger overnight. I showed straightaway due to having number 6 but really grew between weeks 17 -18.

    Long post! sorry

Suzy sorry work are being idiots but at least you know it'll soon be done with:) as for births, we're not sure, MGEB is MIA so hopefully she's having mummy cuddles after her bubba decided he was gonna make an entrance but then thought better of it!
There was someone else waiting for a bed for induction who is hopefully having mummy cuddles too but I can't remember who it was:o

Lydia, I'm a week behind you and was having the same concerns, mentioned it to midwife at appointment and she said exactly what the others have said:) hopefully you'll wake up one morning and wonder why you can't see your feet anymore:p:D

Anyhoo, wil be going to have a look for the freebie changing bag on my lunch...anyone know which one it is??? Boots is normally hectic on lunch so want to try and do a quick dash in and out:D
