  • well done a quick tally up, the bingo monies to come and my loose change comes to a grand total of £109:j I was going to use this to pay some more off of OH's cc, but this will have to go into the bank unfortunately.

But, at least it means we wont go over our overdraft:j

much happier now! right, must have some brekkie then off to the bank!

So tonight I will be starting my rather long list of things to do! first things first, ebay ebay ebay! lol. I must stay focused and start getting things listed. The house needs a major de-cluttering and I've got loads of stuff to sell, plus I need the money!

nothing much else to report as yet, so Im off to walk the doggie shortly.

It took me a long time to realise this but theres absolutely nothing YOU can do to keep OHs spending under control. Only OH can do that and he has to be able to do it his way on his terms, when he wants to, otherwise you're wasting your time and energy banging your head against a brick wall. Harsh but honest.

You have to be selfish and focus on the things you can do something about. That way you will achieve somethig. It means that you'll only half reach your goal but at the point you are debt free at least you'll then be in a position to bale him out without going under yourself. As it is you kee p doing something positive only to find that hes done something stupid and you're right back where you started. You've done the bingo and the e-baying and the chat lines and he's spent the money. I know marriage is a partnership but it should be give and take on both sides not you giving and him taking.

  • hiya moo2moo,

thanks for stopping by. I know exactly what you are saying, im doing everything I can. I have just started to do daily clicks, I do surveys for vouchers for birthdays. I do everything I can. I know I shouldnt help him, but I cant stop myself. I dont know why I keep doing it, I think maybe I feel partly to blame. after all, I didnt try very hard to stop him really. I HAVE tried to talk to him in the past, but I get ignored and/or told its all my fault, I have even been threatened with violence.:(

I just want a debt free life. I will sort myself out first, as I have only actually got 2 cc's and 1 loan. OH has got 1 loan and 3 cc's and his balances are all high:eek:

will keep you all posted as to how I get on with ebay etc.

    speak soon x
