    Morning JC

Just read your diary all the way through, one of the comments you made about your father being too scared to talk whilst at yours nearly made me cry.

Your OH sound like a complete pig and you sound lovely.

Please dont blame yourself and say you should try harder to stop him spending, he is an adult after all.

Work hard to clear your own debts and let him sort his own mess out. He'll never learn if he doesn't have to bear the responsibility.

Perhaps setting up an account in your name only for the bills would be a good move, then OH will have no access causing you to go overdrawn and the money for your bills will always be there.

Enjoy the rest of your time away from your OH and stay strong xxx

Have you got any gold you can sell JC?

I took a gold chain, a ring and a belly button bar to the jewellers yesterday and got £40!

  • time to take a break methinks!!! im exhausted lol. DD has now gone out with her friend so I've got the house to myself for a bit.

to do list is going well. The remaining tasks are:-

    1. Strip and clean DD's room.
    2. Clean kitchen
    3. Clean conservatory
    4. Hoover throughout
    5. Wash all floors
    6. Finally get washing out! lol

Ive got 2 loads of washing left, and 1 still in the machine, but I need a sit down and a nice cup of tea. If I get all done tonight (which will be a day early), I might even break open a bottle of wine whilst DD is out at a party:beer: I think I will deserve a glass or 2 by then!:rotfl:

Will also start to look at other bank accounts for the bills. just over half of our combined wages get swallowed up every month by paying off the overdraft, and we never seem to catch up:eek: It doesnt help that all our bills are pretty high where we live and they have just gone up again, council tax, water rates etc. But I still believe that changing bank accounts will help a bit. what do the rest of you think?

    speak later JC xx

I say set up an account for bills only - ensure that a standing order is set up on payday to go across to this account to cover all the bill payments each month then at least you know that these are all paid.

I would then set up a separate account for your debts and ensure that the money is sent across for all these to be paid too and so on....then what is left is to clear overdraft and monthly spends.

I think perhaps this way you can ensure that all bills are paid and know exactly where you stand each month - perhaps then your OH may be less likely to spend if he can actually see that there is nothing there - once the moneys gone, it's gone. Better that way!
  • I am now having my second sit down!:rotfl: things still going well, just down to washing floors, conservatory and kitchen now!:j

washing all done and outside on line. So looks like Im gonna be finished a day early:j. DD has got a party tonight so Im going to finish off whilst shes out (hopefully) and then get on with listing the rest of her clothes on ebay seeing as I didnt bother on friday night. Unless of course, I end up vegging out in front of the tv:rotfl:

One thing I am finding odd, is that OH keeps texting/ringing me. All the texts keep saying really missing you and our DD, love you etc. hmmm...... wonder if he now realises wot a pain he has been lately and he feels guilty perhaps?? I can live in hope, cant I? lol. Me and DD are really enjoying our time on our own and DD has not mentioned her dad once. It will be interesting to see what he is like when he comes home. We shall see!!!

Hope everyone is having a fabby day!

Ho yes having a fab day. Am lounging about sporadically doing bits and pieces but seem to be making headway. The DDs have chowed constantly all day so planning a v. late pizza in front of the telly box as a treat and because I'm too lazy to move the laundry off the dining table. Puppy has been asleep for 6 of the last 7 hours so am expecting her to double in size overnight. Shes gained half a kilo in four days. Still whilst shes asleep I can't trip up over her.

If I was of a more suspicious nature I would be inclined to think that your OH is checking up on you to make sure that you are at home and not out having fun. But then I'm a very cynical person.

  • morning all, cant believe im up this early on a sunday morning! lol. flaming dog woke me up wanting to go out!

Well on my list today I have just got to finish off a few bits and pieces in the kitchen, but thats about it:j I didnt do my ebay in the end last night, tut tut! I made the mistake of sitting down with some wine, and ended up falling asleep!:rotfl:woke up at 1am on the sofa and then dragged myself upstairs.:rotfl:

I have really enjoyed being on my own, and IT is back tommorow night:( I just hope that he notices how spick and span the house is, and doesnt actually find anything else to moan about!! heres hoping, although I have become quite cynical over time, so im not holding my breath. He ALWAYS finds something to moan about.

Anyway, on a brighter note, I was out walking my dog yesterday afternoon and I found 80p:j how sad am I getting excited over 80p! lol. first lot of pennies I have found in ages!

Bit overcast here today, but hopefully sun will be breaking thru soon.

No cooking for me today as DD and I are going to my mums!:j and it will also be yet another NSD too.

Have a great day everyone x
