Today I'm probably not going to fly at all
Have woken in terrible pain. Justin is out collecting things from some nice freecyclers, and we still have his niece here. Not coping at all today - will update tomorrow if I can. I DID make 6 lbs of jam last night (which is probably why I'm suffering today), so I'm pleased with progress so far. Must learn to pace myself. Perhaps today is LIST day - get myself organised so I CAN pace myself!
HUGS TO YOU ALL TODAY,

I've been reading this post all week so thought I'd say hi.
Lots of the things you mention I already do eg microcloths but I did not know you could get cheap ones so will increase my stock and fancy trying stardrops - I did email them to ask how environmentally friendly it is and they replied:
Re: Stardrops
Strictly speaking we’re not allowed to make claims about how environmentally friendly a product is. In line with other cleaning product manufacturers the detergents used in Stardrops are classed as biodegradable.
Do any of you actually get the flylady emails - I looked at the site and have started doing the sink polishing;drying up and puuting away has made a huge difference.
Yesterday I spring cleaned the bathroom. Found a tube with face mask in so put that on whilst cleaning - kept the kids away - they did not like the blue face! Then got the kids to use disclosing tablets before I cleaned the sink and used up some free samples of creams etc.
My plan is to keep on top of the rooms I have done (kitchen/bathroom/downstairs toilet) and add another room each day but not let the other rooms slip back into chaos.
I have not seen anyone mention using Astonish paste which I think is great especially when combined with the microcloths.
Thanks for all the tips I've readThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hello,
Just a quickie as In Laws are here now. Slept not too badly and looked at my garden and you're right it looked so much better. Thank you for being so nice. I actually swept the pavement etc as well, it looked so much better and didn't shrivel with shame when I looked at the road today.
Anyway, not much flying for the next two weeks. Cava and a chinese tonight and breakfast at the Golf Club tommorrow btu some flying for DS's birthday BBQ on Monday (come rain or shine!)
Still need to clean my oven!!
Will post when it's done.
Enjoy the Bank Holiday all and thanks for making me feel less guilty.

hi Everyone
Hugs to Justin 138 sorry you are having a bad day, hope the list making goes well.
House is looking very clean just by keeping on top of everything this week. No washing to do and just half a dozen items to iron.
Picked some damsons today from a neighbouring overhanging tree and made three damson pies, were for freezer but one has been eaten already:eek:
Must get the other two cooled and wrapped before they get their mitts on them too.
Sausage casserole in SC for tea and made a loaf too. Just need to give the bathroom a once over and that will be enough for today.
have a good weekend everyone.

Hi, Dusty! I'm a huge fan of Astonish. I have a hob kettle, which gets splashed when I'm cooking. A quick rub with Astonish, wipe with clean cloth, and it's like new!

Today, amazingly, I've been OUT! (rare occurence) buying wine making equipment and a few bits and bobs to make life easier. Niece has gone home, (phew, she was hard work), so now I'm cracking on with all those plums, apples, damsons & cherries I have ready for jam & wine making. Justin is home - oh bliss! He does all the lifting/carrying and I do all the cutting up & stirring. I may make a crumble or two for the freezer as well - and there's me thinking I hated cooking with a vengeance! House is reasonable, since Justin helped a LOT.
Whoo hoo! He's just brought down a dozen or more kilner jars from the attic that I didn't know I had. They were in a box wrapped in paper dated 1994 - ooooh dear.
Pain has eased quite a bit thank goodness, but I really MUST pace myself else tomorrow will be bad.
Thinking of you all flying highWELL DONE to everyone who's accomplished something today, no matter how small.
Hugs,
Jo0 -
i think i need to be less involved in the flying.
Although i've not posted for a few days, we have been redecorating the living/dining room.
Walls were freshly plastered, so needed a light sand. Woodwork needed sanding. Doors were taken off. Woodwork and walls all needed a quick wash to remove dust.
Ceiling has had 2 white coats over the plaster, plus 2 coats of colour. Walls have had 2 coats of white plus one of colour. skirting boards have been cut, and painted with a primer coat ready for nailing on and glossing.
porch roof was painted, as that has needed doing for over 18 months and might as well be done while the paint is out.
all this work sent lots of dust into my kitchen, so i have been having a thorough gutting of that, as well as keeping on top of washing/cooking/bread making.
I have had my hands in water and cleaning products for so long, that my hands are raw. They were stinging badly, dry, broken open and have a rash on the back of my hands. I've had to really plaster on the hand cream to take the sting out.
I know DH will be putting on the last coat of paint on the walls, and trying to lay the laminate flooring and perhaps nail on the skirting board tomorrow. I was hoping to tackle the bathroom, but i think i will be trying to keep my hands as dry as possible, so perhaps some of the dreaded ironing.
We will get there.
