    OK - spent the past two days shifting stuff from rental garage to new home garage. What a job that was!!

    The start of the new week will go something like this:

    Monday:
    Get enough groceries to see us through three days;
    Take bootload to recycle on the way to work;
    Go to post office for change of address;
    Phone Telecom; Power supplier; TV supplier; milkman; for change of address and moving details;
    Strip kids beds, wash all sheets, blankets, duvets etc and put them in sleeping bags until we move;
    Pack up computers :( (might try and drag that one out till Tuesday night);

    Tuesday:
    Pack up kitchen, bathroom;
    Pull apart stereo;
    I'm sure I'll find plenty else to do as well. . .

    Morning All,

    Getting there on the flying. Yesterday, tidied garage, cleared back garden. House is looking pretty good, still bits to be done but our bedroom is finished and looks so much better. Have done all my hand washing and am now completely up to date there, long may it last.

    To Do today:
    1) Cook 3 course Sunday lunch for parents and us.
    2) Make brownies and weetabix cake.
    3) Sweep downstairs floors and dust (will not wash floors as my stepdad always brings mud in as they walk through the park to get here).
    4) Hoover upstairs (think DH can do this)
    5) Flylady myself!! (nails etc badly need some TLC)
    6) Finally the front garden is dreadful, but don't think I will have time to do it today. Apparently it's going to be 90 degrees on Thursday so may spend Thursday doing it and top up my tan which is fading fast.

    Happy Flying Ladies!!

    I need your help :( I'd love to become a flylady and take some of the workload off Justin. BUT I can only stand up/walk for about five minutes at the most, before I have to sit again (bluddy frustrating). I do my best, but I can't whizz around like you all seem to do. I also don't drive so can't just go to the tip, or shop whenever I want. I detest cooking too! Any ideas?

    Hi Justin 138
    Just take it easy and adapt to suit yourself. Try and find little jobs that you can do sitting down. for instance if you are decluttering do a drawer at a time but do it at the kitchen table with a bin bag to one side and a box for useful stuff at the other. If you are dusting etc get a chair and start in one corner of the room, whilst you are sitting down dust surfaces within reach and then move along a little and do the next bit.
    I know someone who uses a bar stool to sit on whilst washing up or cooking, and has a feather duster with a long handle so she can clean from her wheelchair. She has all her ornaments etc stuck down with blu tack so that she does not knock anything off whilst dusting. She also bought a new toilet brush from asda for about 60p and uses this with stardrops to clean the bath so she does not have to stretch too far.
    Just do it at your own pace and work out your own routine. Big jobs like changing beds can be done in 5 minute bursts with a little rest in between. You can actually strip the bed whilst you are sat on it, remove pillowcases etc and quilt cover and then pull the bottom sheet off. Putting it back on is the hard bit.
    hope this helps

    Thanks so much Sophiesmum - I was beginning to think I was a lost cause! I have worked out a few things, like sitting on the bed to remove pillowcases, but blu-tac for the ornaments is an excellent idea.

    Justin is such an angel :A ... whenever I say "I haven't done much today" (feeling awful about it), he chips in "well, whatever you've done is a bonus". He wouldn't care if I never did another stroke of work - but I DO! I bless the day I found him. I have mentioned it before, but I think everyone should have "a Justin" for themselves, and I'm going to clone him to make my fortune. Orders taken - BOGOF considered :D

    Afternoon!!

    Right...

    1) 3 course Sunday lunch cooked - was sooo much washing up and I'm a relatively tidy cook. DH helped.
    2) Upstairs hoovered and dusted.
    3) Downstairs hoovered and dusted.
    4) Cleared corner with DVD's etc. Looks so much better.
    5) Cleared back garden.

    Things I still need to do:

    1) Clean my oven
    2) Front garden
    3) Baking for hol club.
    4) Baking for in laws visit.

    In laws arrive Saturday so house really only needs a quick going over to be spick and span.

    Getting there.:j

    Proud of myself today - I mopped the floors! I filled the mop bucket from the outside tap and sat in various chairs (a bit like musical chairs without the music). Outside tap doesn't have hot water, but floors are gleaming anyhow. Justin will probably be annoyed with me for doing it and not leaving it for him to do, and annoyed I didn't use HOT water - pffft, they didn't NEED it hot, t'were only a few muddy footprints from kitties. Anyhow I'm happy. Now to think about peeling potatoes (thinking mind, not actually DOING :grin: )
