    Just a quick visit to say that my ironing mountain is down to a hill! I tackled a load of it watching a Dorothy Sayers video I got from ebay. But yesterday I was doing decluttering at DD's house instead! Does that count for part of my FL challenge????

    Way to go Chipps! I think the work at your DD's count as helping her to fly - any chance she could return the favour?

    Started off badly today. Bad sleep as OH away, no breakfast, wasted the morning doing job avoidance, just eaten 2 cream donuts:( .

    Now off to stick a wash load on spend 15 mins sorting my utility (if I can get the door open for washing). Do a quick tidy up through out the house and tackle the list of jobs I declared yesterday.

    Can anyone suggest some music to Fly by?

    Morning!!

    Am tired this morning so feeling a bit overwhelmed by my list and the fact that I want to get it done by tommorrow. Will have to have an early night tonight. Think I will concentrate on upstairs tonight and do downstairs tommorrow whilst BB is on.

    1) Cleared 2 of DH's hotspots (computer desk & by the toaster in the kitchen), put them in a box and into the garage as he gets very upset when I dump anything in the garage. He actually hasn't noticed yet!! He still hasn't noticed!!
    2) Cleared out broom cupboard.
    3) Cleared out winter coats etc to send to charity shop.
    4) Cleared out kids clothes.
    5) Cleared out kids toy cupboard.
    6) Swished bathroom

    Need to do.
    1) Clear out magazines under DH's side of the bed.2) Move TV etc in our bedroom and re-organise top of wardrobe.
    3)Tidy out under our bed, go through storage boxes and thin out towels etc that are never used.
    4) Sort winter clothes etc, general wardrobe tidy up (although this was done quite recently so shouldn't take long).
    5) Clear out understairs cupboard with DH as it is all his stuff!!
    6) Clear out corner of sitting room where DVD's, videos are.
    7) General tidy up of kitchen cupboards and wipe down.

    Think thats everything de-cluttering wise, cleaning wise need to:
    1) Hoover floors downstairs & mop
    2) Hoover upstairs
    3) Damp dust downstairs
    4) Damp dust upstairs

    Jobs for today are:
    2) Buy storage for broom cupboard
    3) Buy extension lead
    4) Library
    5) Charity shop
    6) Dump
    7) Washing (as always !)
    8) Do loaf in bread machine.

    Am not finishing work until almost 17.30 so will really need to crack on tonight.

    Keep going MimiF - you're doing a great job. You've got quite a few jobs on your list and what you've done already should make a big difference.

    Have finished utility and sorted washing into piles ready to throw in the machine. All upstairs tidy. Currently avoiding doing downstairs, ironing, cleaning and mopping floors!

    Am about to tackle downstairs, here goes...

    Thank you Punky!!

    Best of luck, don't do ironing piles myself, just Put it away when clean and just iron clothes for next day the night before. I hate ironing, is also doubly difficult since DH broke my ironing board, need to have a trip to John Lewis for a new one. I love John Lewis.;)

    Hi everybody

    My Flyladying today is going very very slowly. I've managed to do two loads of washing, and the bonus is that it is a beautiful day here in N.Ireland so it's outside drying as I type. I've also managed to fill two big bags with stuff which I've left at the Oxfam shop, plus I've taken a load of recycleable rubbish to the dump. When I was in town I moseyed about for a while, went to the library (looked at yoga books - want to start doing it, but....:eek: to some of the advanced poses - I'd love to be that supple - gotta Flylady my body sooner rather than later), so haven't achieved much in the house. My office is the pits, so much flipping paper. I'll just have to pile it up for now.

    Punky...thanks for reminding me about the windows. It's kind of obvious to give them a wipe and polish but this obvious point completely passed me by! I'll get cracking on that a wee bit later. There are a couple of windows which aren't too nice as my long-haired cat comes in from the rain soaking wet then plonks himself on the window-sills. As you say a squirt of vinegar works wonders.

    There was a thread a while ago specifically about how to cut down on ironing. I am one of life's non-ironers. When I'm on again this evening I'll have a look to see if I can find it and will post a link.

    Punky (again!) - two cream buns. Aw what a shame I wasn't there to save you from yourself....

    Keep up the good work everybody, but don't forget to have a rest every now and again too.

    MimiF - I'm a John Lewis addict too. Just love good customer service. I got a great large ironing board from Aldi - probably not as sturdy as a John Lewis one but mucgh cheaper.

    SnowyOwl - hope you had a good nights sleep good to know you're flying today - all be it slowly.

    Am currently trying to work off the cream buns. Have hoovered upstairs, second wash on, first wash drying. Not attempted ironing yet. Must find a good film to watch...

    Snowy - I'm glad you seem to have caught up on some sleep :)

    Most of my to do list has gotten done today - though I still need to pack up some of the stuff in the higher cupboards in the kitchen, and in my wardrobe, too.

    Living areas got a quick dust and vacuum today thanks to kids being home on mid-term break.

    Bathroom/toilet got a good scrub by me - I really must learn to swish daily!

    I've got a heap of phone messages to do, but I'm a !!!!!! at using the phone - I hate it! I guess I'll let them pile up until next week now.

    So, still to do today:
    Get washing in off clothesline, fold and get kids to put away;
    Sort something for dinner (had a question mark on my weekly menu for today LOL);
    Pack up at least two boxes in the kitchen and one in the bedroom;
    Sort budget and pay some bills tonight.

    Tomorrow:
    We are moving boxes and 'stuff' in storage in current garage to the new garage, so we will have less to move after work next week.
