Nope, I have a separate toilet though so it's the sink that gets the swish, I use a wipe (freebies from boots that I have a huge stock of) to clean my face and then double duty it to swish the sink.

Hello every-one. I started the days flying quite late and felt very demotivated but decided i had to tackle more cupboards in the kitchen. I ended doing well and cleaned the floor too. I also wiped down and sorted more junk. did several loads of washing and have the ironing to do this evening.I gave things to my local free cycle and managed to claim something too. I also had a tent collected from some-one who had bought it off me from ebay. Dinner is cooked and eaten, so i will just have the wiping round to do. Not planning on being home for the next two days as i am visiting my daughter and grandsons, that with my hyper 3 year old,`madam of a daughter` 8 year old and my `the worlds not fair` 7 year old, will be enough to deal with for the next two days, Will log in when i am back, (God willing) Dont slack whilst i am away ;)

  • I've managed to miss the start of the Flylady challenge again. Not fair!!

Oh well. Serves me right for going on holiday.

I suppose i have taken part today as we have been busy all day, although mostly sorting out the decorating stuff. I guess i will try and join in where i am, and use the one in september as my final big clean before the baby arrives in October. I sat and wrote a list of everything i need to do last weekend, and there were 220plus things on there.

    Done today:

    by me
    • paid 2 bills online
    • 4 loads through the WM (swimming stuff/towels/posh outfits/DH's tshirts)
    • checked online banking
    • washed sink/draining board/drying rack
    • cleaned outside of WM
    • cleaned hob and outside of oven
    • washed down kitchen window sill
    • weeded back garden
    • airers emptied, clothes folded and put away
    • unpacked two bags from holiday
    • took down living room curtains
    • cooked dinner
    • washed up

I also tidied up the office a little bit, managing to break the shredder, which DH then fixed for me. ;)

    by DH
    • pruned back a vine in the garden
    • put cat carriers back in the garage
    • stripped wallpaper from ceiling in dining room
    • removed curtain pole from living room
    • finished stripping border from living room
    • removed skirting board from living/dining room
    • washed all walls and ceiling in both rooms
    • wielded the hoover round and dealt with all the mess
    • took off the living room radiator and took it outside and washed it out.

we also had to go and pick up our two cats from the cattery. So we are now having a well earned rest, before we will start again tomorrow.

Think i will be tackling more washing, and perhaps some of the bathroom tomorrow, while DH sorts out his car ready for swapping for a new one on monday. We have planned a cinema trip as a reward.

I love it when DH is home as we get so much done.

  • Morning, all! Back from my weekend away feeling refreshed and ready to face the challenge!

    Today:

Ironing - work in progress, will finish when children go out.
BM - on, need to make another loaf later
WM - on, to hang out later, then another load
Kitchen - to wash-up, clean surfaces and floor.

Today's big task to put away camping stuff, and clear the spare room. It's been a bit of a dumping ground, and needs to be cleared so that we can decorate.

I'm a shocker - I get all into it, draw up lists, create spreadsheets on how to clean up my life and my home, just for them to sit on my fridge door with nothing marked off.
This is exactly what I do :rotfl: and it useually takes hours:o
Will someone please give me the kick I need otherwise I just may sit on here all day.

I have been so busy cleaning I havent posted!

I got carried away and did a 270 fling boogie on the top floor! OH is away for a few days so have whizzed through without him saying but I want that about things he hasn't touched for years. I have re-arranged the eaves so all the storgae stuff is away which has freed up lots of other space. Really pleased with myself.

Lots of painting as well so the house is starting to look shiny and clean. D-day for putting it on the market 1st September.

    Morning!!

Can I join please? I know I'm a bit late and as I've been a closet Flybaby for sometime house is fine but I have the in-laws here in 2 weeks I want to have a really good deep clean and clear out before they arrive and before kids go back to school.

    Things done so far:
    1) Cleared 2 of DH's hotspots (computer desk & by the toaster in the kitchen), put them in a box and into the garage as he gets very upset when I dump anything in the garage. He actually hasn't noticed yet!!

    2) Cleared out broom cupboard.
    3) Cleared out winter coats etc to send to charity shop.
    4) Cleared out kids clothes.
    5) Cleared out kids toy cupboard.

    Need to do.
    1) Clear out magazines under DH's side of the bed.
    2) Move TV etc in our bedroom and re-organise top of wardrobe.
    3) Tidy out under our bed, go through storage boxes and thin out towels etc that are never used.
    4) Sort winter clothes etc, general wardrobe tidy up (although this was done quite recently so shouldn't take long).
    5) Clear out understairs cupboard with DH as it is all his stuff!!
    6) Clear out corner of sitting room where DVD's, videos are.
    7) General tidy up of kitchen cupboards and wipe down.

Think thats everything de-cluttering wise, cleaning wise need to:
    1) Hoover floors downstairs & mop
    2) Hoover upstairs
    3) Damp dust downstairs
    4) Damp dust upstairs
    5) Swish bathroom

    Jobs for today are:
    1) Supermarket for bits they didn't have Monday night (really anoying)
    2) Buy storage for broom cupboard
    3) Buy extension lead
    4) Library
    5) Charity shop
    6) Dump
    7) Washing (as always !)
    8) Do loaf in bread machine.

Think thats it for now!! Will keep you posted! If all this gets done by Friday, in between work of course, then DH and I wil be tackling the gardens over the weekend as the weeds seemed to take over whilst we were on hols and hopefully we will have a fair few bbq's whilst out laws are here. Finally will finish painting in the new bathroom next week!!!

Then we need to start getting the kids organised for school!! Never ending isn't it, oh and have started thinking about Christmas too....
