    Ok. Here goes.....

This week's mission is to get on top of the laundry mountain.

well, not literally, although that would flatten the heap a bit!

I mean, get it sorted, ironed where necessary and put away. And then to keep the laundry up to date.
I'm very good at getting it washed & dried daily, no problem there. But ironing, folding, putting away........ hmmmm...

Glad its not just me that does that ....

... I have several ironing 'mountains' to get through before i do anything else ...

Made a slight ascent on my laundry mountain (the one awaiting ironing) and have now left base camp.

What HAS made laundry less of a bind for me is that I now set the WM on a timeswitch so that the washing is ready to hang out as soon as I get up! A simple thing but it makes me feel SO much better to see washing on the line at around 7.15am instead of getting around to thinking about it all (perhaps).

    Little things ......

Back to work this week so a mere swish and swipe is my lot, I'm afraid :(

I've found this a boon aswell, but I still need to be disciplined about getting it all back in the wardrobes, there is always piles of clean stuff on our dining table!

Moggins / SnowyOwl - thank you so much for the FlyLady threads. I lurked the last thread and logged onto Flylady, her routines have helped me gain control of my house and my life so that housework is manageable but not dominating and overwhelming.

I found that doing 15 minutes in each room a day and / or focussing on the zones/rooms Flylady suggested meant that in just a few weeks each room was never more than 15 minutes from tidy. Normally I can get a room straight during the commercial breaks!

Chipps - I've got a washing/ironing mountain to climb. I've been doing Flylady's one wash everymorning and trying to fold/iron and put away as soon as it's dry and it's much better. I've found watching a film while ironing gets more done.

Sophiesmum - I love your posts, you have a great sense of humour and always make me smile. I've developed a bit of a 'swish and wipe' fetish as well. OH has started complaining that I need to let him finish shaving/brushing teeth before pushing him out of the way to clean the sink (with a used facial wipe of course!)

Please can someone tell me how to sign up to UK Flylady email. I'm signed up to US and get the one email a day with an amalgamation of all the tips and testimonials so I don't get swamped.

    Finally, my jobs for tomorrow:
    - home blessing hour
    - mop kitchen floor
    - mop dining room floor
    - mop bathroom and ensuite floor
    - conquer washing mountain
    - ironing

    Hi everybody

Sorry I haven't been around. I got overtaken by the lack of sleep - I have real problems with sleeplessness - and ended up getting so tired I could do nothing but sleep for about 14 hours at a time. Add on going to work, and there wasn't an awful lot of time for flyladying, or even MSEing.

I've got tomorrow booked off work...hurrah! They wouldn't let me have Friday, but Thursday is better than nothing, so I'll get a bit caught up tomorrow. I really do have to get my butt in gear... I've got someone coming on Friday evening to put up new blinds on every single window I possess. I know it shouldn't bother me what someone thinks of my house...but I'd hate for him to see my messiness. So gotta sort it out, even if it's only surface clean and clear! I guess it's not that bad really...lying snoring meant that I wasn't making it any worse. A quick swish here and a quick polish there and it'll be heaps better.

Well, I'm right at the bottom (no pun intended!!) of my underwear drawer, so current priority is to fill the washing machine and replenish undies asap.

Actually I'll do that in a minute, fancy a cup of tea first as I'm not long in from work....

    Hey SnowyOwl

Thursday is my day for most of my housework so I'll be thinking of you FLYing just like me. Get those windows gleaming with vinegar, a microfibre cloth and some newspaper - this tip from OSers like you means my windows are gleaming and smear free - then your windows will be ready for your new blinds.

    Stay motivated.
