Have noticed that blackberries and crabapples are load on the hedges this year get out there and get some free food.

Can't realy freeze them as have a tiny freezer and it's already crammed full...
But I'm going jam jar hunting today now as I think even I can manage thatand if it turns out nice I might even give them away as pressies heehee!!!!

Sweet chestnuts and elderberries seem to be plentiful at the moment,but its too late for a lot of blackberries - they came early with coz of the weather, which is a shame.

Loads of elderberries, rose hips around and damsons in the farmshop also damzines? never heard of these -look like a little damson (or maybe the folks at the farmshop can't spell damson) My crab apples need picking. I thought I'd make some crab apple and elderberry jelly next week when the kids are out of my hair
