I have to say it must have only been a slight mildew mark or something, because I failed to spot it while I read the bookASG wrote:A big thank you for all your help. I have just listed my first 6 wierd paperbacks. Reading the first post.....I have lots of hardbacks, mainly craft books. Is it worth listing these on Amazon? or am I better off just taking them to the tip?
(I've de cluttered my house, apart from the loft which is where all these books are - one way or another they have to go)
Advice please.
Poundland do big Jiffy bags which fit most books in packs of 4 or 5, as well as medium sized ones for smallish books, DVDs etc in packs of 8.0 -
Is there an easy method of telling if something you wish to list will sell or not? It's obviously easy to look up your book, see it's listed a couple of times at a good price, and automatically think that you'll get that price for it; but how do you know if the copies your looking at haven't been listed there for months?
I heard about amazonscan.com and junglescan.com (most probably for Amazon.com), both of which seem to be closed, but the idea of them looked very good (tracking sales of items basically like a stock market). Is there anything like them or any other tools for Amazon.co.uk which would be beneficial?0 -

Some people seem to have problems accessing the buyer waiting lists when they become PM. Most seem to have resolved the problem by phoning Amazon customer services on 0800 279 6620 and they rectify the situation.

The ranking system will give you an idea on modern books but as far as older stuff is concerned there is no way of knowing and many books will sit there for years unsold.
Also, many of the really high price items are false as the sellers listing them are the American scam merchants who put ludicrously high prices on everything hoping a sucker buyer will come along.0 -

Well... the postage time did coincide with the rain we had, but that's hardly my fault
If I have to send everything waterproof now I'm screwed! My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

Hi bluekp, I love new sellers getting excited :j it takes me back to my first sale, it was a Patricia Cornwell book and I remember telling my then cynical 17 year old son about it, I was SO pleased and told him that I'd made a pound profit, he just couldn't appreciate the reason for the excitement, what I saw was the possibilities, he saw just £1.
He's changed his attitude now!
Number 37 is the next available so please feel free to claim it0
