Thanks AT - will wait till after the weekend then and hopefully I may have a few sales before I do it!!LOL
  • I've had a VERY good week, I had some good auction buys including lots of childrens videos (these are just walking out of the place) and I've sold 44 items this week, my best week ever for volume and almost my best for takings. My list has just tipped 900 now too. I have them everywhere!!!!

    Hi all,
Glad we are back to 1 thread.

I have had a good day today. 9 books posted today!!!
£42 profit today. I am happy. A few more days like this and I will have my holiday paid for.

    Matt

  • I don't know if this is any use to anyone but because I post out by first class post - don't worry, I'm not going to start the discussion about 1st class or second class again ;) - I decided that since I was shelling out a few pence more on each transaction and mention it in the description I also decided to change my sellers nickname to one that shouts about how fast I can get the goods out, with 40+ sales this last week I wonder if that had anything to do with it?

    Hi

I haven't posted on this thread before but I do lurk and I was sent the lists of pre-orders - many thanks again.

Anyway I have an item that is a pre-order and it says a buyer is waiting, do you have to put the item condition as what they requested or can you put it as any.

My item is like new but the pre-order justs wants good.

How does the pre-order thing work, if I put an item on that has been ordered how quickly should it sell and is it automatic from amazon or do they send the person an email to say 1 is available and they have to opt to buy it?

Sorry loads of questions but trying to get my head round it

    Thanks

    EE
  • Hi there, well done on having a buyer waiting item!

The first thing to remember is that there may be other people that want your item that didn't think to put a preorder in so it might be worth listing it at a higher price than the waiting buyers price just to see if somone will take the bait, leave it a while then reduce the price.

If you are too eager to wait, as your name might suggest then just list it 'as new' with the price that you've seen and within a few hours you'll get your 'sold dispatch now' email as the buyer has already comitted to buying it

Can someone please email me or pm me the pre-order list. I will be eternally grateful. I don't have excel though only microsoft works, does that matter?

I'm toying with the idea of going Pro-Merchant in September in preparation for a good run of sales up to Christmas and on throughout the winter (if this past year is anything to go by anyway). I have been running at just under the 30 sales a month for the past year and if I make more of an effort then I should be able to justify the subscritption!

What I was wondering was - do I have to use the bulk upload programs or can I continue to do things 'manually'/individually as I do now? I don't really want to change as I rather like my system - it may be a little time consuming but after 18 months I know what I'm doing without thinking too much about it!

Also, any thoughts and suggestions greatfully received. By the way what are these Z Shops?
