Aldi Sultanas - "new lower price" says red shelf edge label. Was 99p now 85p.

Trying to match Morrisons 84p perhaps I thought.

When weighing out at home, I realised that the pack is no longer 500g but 400g. 20% smaller.

85p is not a "lower price"
Surely that is illegal under some trades description act or other?

seriously, i'm sure my breakfast is getting smaller. 2 weetabix (asda's own) look smaller in the bowl now and definitely don't seem to fill me up

maybe this is just asda's own or maybe it's because it was a box of 48???

i might have to start having 3!!!
  • the imperial leather was on the reduced shelf in wilkinsons too, 50p for 4 bars, because they were the large ones. We are all getting so ripped off.

Also saw this week at work, the Butterkist popcorn - the one you put a bag in the microwave and it pops it for you has gone from 3x100g to 3x90g as we are selling the larger one at a discounted rate.

Kids had party rings today for the first time in ages. They are tiny now, thinner and smaller circumference.

Fairy Dishwasher tablets were 56 and now 51 or 52. How do I know this? They were discontinuing the prices of the 56 at Sainsburys for £4 a pack. Normally they are about £12.49 full price. The 51 or 52 packs were selling for full price at 11.99. Still they are 0.7p more per tablet than the larger packet when it was at full price.

I noticed the recent change in size of Palmolive Soap from 100g a bar to 90g a bar (remember the good old days of 125g?). I saw the price for a pack of four was still £1.00.

Visit to Sainsburys today and 4x90g of Palmolive Soap has rocketed to £1.33.

So 40g less per pack and 33p price increase.
