Cheaper car insurance - Updated 14.03.08

For cheaper car insurance I just followed Martin's advice. I read his full article on car insurance and then went to Confused.com (as recommended by him) to put in my details. This is one of the better sites for comparison because it allows you to put in all your details together with any 'bad-boy' details you have (3 points for speeding in a 30 mph etc).
It then gave me a list of quotes. I chose the top 3 and then went straight to their individual company sites to re-do the quote again (since many give a percentage off if you do it direct on the web). Doing this managed to save me another £20 on the cheapest quote quoted on Confused.com.0 -

The list has now been updated.
The AA are no longer available as they have stopped quoting for Northern Ireland.
If anyone knows of other companies who have stopped quoting for NI or for those who have started to quote, please let me know and I'll amend the first post to reflect these.
Thanks

Please can someone help.
I need to find insurance for a 19 year old learner driver for a group one car. Best quote so far £2500 with L Hughes & Co, third party fire and theft. There must be a better deal than this.

Seem to remember that Zurich was the young drivers best buy when my daughter was starting.Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.0

Ark , I looked at the car insurance thread but couldn't find any obvious answers which is why I asked here.
Holiday, Thank you for the suggestion, we are going to have a look Zurich as it seems the best option so far.
Thanks again,

Pink,
Take a good look at what Stevey above is saying. I think Vauxhall have a free insurance deal on at the minute, and Peugeot & Ford are worth checking out also.
Alternatively you could try Quinn Direct, or AXA Direct.
Hope this helps,

Try Oprn and Direct. I got a great price from them when my son was learning. Abbey wouldnt even touch her with Insurance.0
