Hello and welcome Eyeopener, you sound all organised and agree with Mama you've done the right thing and the worst for me was the token stage as I had nothing concrete to tell them when they phoned except 'my circumstances are changing'... they should communicate with third parties so if you give them your CCCS number they can speak to them instead, unless Crap One are one of your creditors in which case they will phone daily and that becomes boring rather than scary...

So, Good Luck and keep posting! :)

Thankfully Crap One are not but I have a few!

When I was completing my CCCS form the question of why/how I got to myself into this mess needed filling in. The only thing I could say was "too much debt"! or words too that effect. It has reallly dawned on me how this entire thing is self inflicted and easy it can be to fall into the debt trap or debt spiral.

With the CCCS budget I will have more money to live on now as well (no more robbing Peter to pay Paul), which will be good discipline, cos its going to take 3 years and 10 months to clear. When I looked a a consolidation loan it was going to be 20 years................

Anyway, letters posted, token payments will be sorted this week i think and i await bank/credit card/loan companys responses. GULP!

Really pleased with ourselves today. Trying to be positive while we wait for the responses to our payment offers Double gulp:eek:!!

We have been for a long free walk. DH has been out and had a good earning day and I have resisted the temptation to go to the shops which has almost been a religion for me in the past:o

Tea will be something out of the freezer. We are also finally beginning to get it every penny counts towards getting out of this mess and how we got there in the first place.

    Hi,

Welcome Eyeopener - you've definitely done the right thing, as has been said before we're all in this together! We have some laughs with Trolley Dashes and Beat the Cashier, we let off steam or just have a good old rant:):):)

    Hi Albie,

glad you feel a bit better, agree it would be a complete nightmare scenario if your colleagues/boss found out..

Bit confused about you ringing them up? Do you need to?

    Thanks Ted,

I think I have got into my head by reading other posts, where people seemed to have called there creditors to let them know what is going on, i.e entering DMP, token payments on there way....maybe I don't need to d this?

    Morning All!

I never rang one creditor, did it all in writing, even when CrapOne/Barclay where constantly ringing I didnt pick up, just turned phone off!!

Ted if I didn't have an up-to-date balance I guessed then updated CCCS trough the website when I got password for the online thingy.

I've a free day today so I plan to work my way through my ebay pile of junk/treasure today so if you see me lurking anywhere tell me to get on with it!!!

    morning Ted

same as Newbeginning and I was impatient to get my password so went on and said I had forgotten it and they sent me one to my email right away, and its invaluable cos I have updated all the way along so the figure on there is the REAL figure, so I know exactly what we owe to the penny.

great that you have started properly and it will be fine, why would it not????

    Morning All!!

    Welcome Eyeopener :D!!

Well done Mr-I'm a nutter-PDD! The sheer mention of that R word makes me shiver with fear :rotfl:

Loving the new song Albie, think that is going to be my theme tune today :rotfl:

Sooo excited for you Teddy, getting all sorted :D only a teensy bit jealous honest :p

Got an unusual Tuesday off :j so will be mostly cleaning today...booo.... although will be having another quick squizz through the budget - only 10 days until I'm planning to send "real" payments!! Still a bit unsure as to whether to stick to tokens until they actually accept or whether just to crack on and do it, what would you guys do?
