Ooo just had a letter from Moorcroft offering me a 50% full and final! Shame I haven't got £280 lying around but if I could get them all to agree to half we'd be DF in about five minutes!!
Have shoved a load of stuff on ebay including a brand new wedding dress and if it sells I'll have enough to take them up on their 50% so keep fingers crossed for me please peeps!Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
:j Yay, Fingers and toes crossed True! If that doesn't work, would another month on tokens do it???
ps Who are Moorcroft 'attached to'?
Thanks Ted!! It's a 14 day offer so I wouldn't try another month of tokens tbh - plus I really need to get onto "normal" payments, you know that feeling I'm sure
This account is an old Orange mobile contract, not sure if Moorcroft are "attached" as such or a stand alone collector. They aren't too bad to deal with though.Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
Yeah only 14 days
but hey, if they're offering 50% now, I bet in a year or so I could get that down even further
!! TBH to save up £280 would be about 2 more months of tokens and a fair amount of overtime so not particularly realistic either. Definitely fingers crossed for the wedding dress

Jumping on without reading what everyone else's day has been like....will catch uo later but I need a virtual slap and to be dragged back together - its nothing but its piddling me off. DD has a party tomorrow...so there have been the present troubles already, prob is i need to take DBs with me - its a soft play place so its going to cost me £8 to get in, then its over tea time, can't take you own food with you can you, so I'll have to starve them, and they'll want a drink so I'll have to take them into the toilets to drink ( not out of the bog
but on the sly cos they patrol the place like mad for your own cups etc) Its too far to go and come home....its really got to me though, stupid its just a little thing but
:( Told you - I need a good talking to! Sorry - its so stupid to be upset over this, thinking back to how things were at the beginning of Jan.

ahh Mama, know how you feel, we couldn't go to a dear friend's son's wedding, too much money, pressie, new togs, long way away so would have to stay night, drink on the night, so we had to say I was away on business and just gave pressie £60!!! But what else could we do, will be worth it in the end I know and basically no other options. I felt quite bad since I'd known him since he was a little boy. So no yu don't need a slap, its just the fix we're all in and it will get better cos it won't matter when you are debt free. AND I have checked with my DD and DS and they were around 9/10 before they really remember individual outings so DSs won't remember drinking in the loo, just not out of the actual loo cos I think they would remember that. They'll just remember bouncing on the stuff.
So it will be OK, you can say that you don't want the kiddles drinking things with unidentified E numbers so you've brought your own.
There, sorted, go make dinner then sit and have a cuppa and cheer up!!!More than Two Years in

:grouphug: dodgy hugs Mama!!
For what its worth, I don't think you need a slap, the management of this soft play thingy definitely do!! Ok, food I can just about understand (don't like it, but what can you do) but drinks too?!?! Madness. Maybe say DB's have to have special drinks and snacks for dietary needs? Why are people that run things like that for children such Nazi's!!! Wrong, wrong, wrong...

*climbs back onto soapbox*
and while I'm thinking about it, why do adults have to pay to go in these places? I mean as much as I love a ball pit, I find places like that a source of nothing bit migranes - surely that is payment enough to keep the kids happy for half an hour?? Oh, and birthday parties - surely these places understand that a lot of people have more than one child and therefore cannot just abandon the other children in order to take one to a party?? Surely they are earning enough money from one party to be able to offer if not free then at least subsidised (sp?) entry for siblings of a party attendee??
