HAPPY FRIDAY!! :j:j
Do you know my most favourite thing about this thread...is that you all know EXACTLY what it's like dealing with these morons...
Letter from Nationwide yesterday - very nice, accepting DMP :j with payments starting May 15th...!!!!!!? I wish they'd make up their mind, on Monday they were 'disappointed' with me!
Nothing about interest though, so I'll have to wait and see.
These people are crazy, yes? I was tearing my hair out on Monday and all for nothing! Grrrrrr
Anyway, just pleased it's sorted now. Onwards and upwards! :T
What a roller coaster for you. Love the 'disappointed' reference! :rotfl:

And one of my own
Can anyone tell me how to put multiple quotes in?
My creditor letters went out yesterday. Shell type bank have removed my online access, dunno what that means?!

Can't help with the multiple quotes, think I still have online access to the same bank, will check, but haven't head anything from them.
How'd you feel posting those letters?DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -
Yep its still letting me access online, silently sending me a default at the bottom of the online statement...but still says zero interest applied even though it says 29% at the top of the statement!
Just gone through the cccs site and adjusted the balances according to the latest statements...nothing from some of hem at all for a couple of months, wonder if the postie got rid of them for me to save me stress, Wonder if he knows somethings up...anyway only one was down, by 400 :j but the others were all a bit higher:mad: the final tightening of the screws for the time being hopefully!
Hope we're all having a good day and not bothereby the volcano's belchings!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -
Hi all
I started my DMP in January (well, technically February I think, since that's when the first payment went to creditors). So far I'm hating it, and interest is building up and up. Reading through this thread has made me hope it will end and creditors will accept it eventually! Does anyone one now how many monthly payments it usually takes for things to settle down? I rang CCCS yesterday and they said that they haven't heard from any of my creditors, so don't know if it's been accepted or not. Triton, acting on behalf of Natwest are the worst, harassing phone calls and insist they've never had any paperwork from CCCS. Have decided not to pick up the phone from them anymore as I end up in tears (more of anger than upset) everytime. Thankfully they only have my mobile number, and it's PAYG, so if it continues I'll be getting a new SIM card as soon as I've used up my credit!
Not sure I'm actually going to be able to continue with the DMP at the current payment as I'm about to be unemployed unless I can find another temp contract somewhere! The employment market here is pretty dire at the moment. But will persevere!0 -

Poor you, it seems as if everyones experience is so different. Have you asked CCCS for advice about the interest or to resend the paperwork? Although some of the creditors use that as an excuse to squeeze the last drop out us. Hopefully once they get a few payments, things will settle down. If they are taking the payments they obviously know you have a DMP with CCCSPaddle no. 12

What I meant to say was from what I see on here after one payment from CCCS they usually take notice of the Dmp if they haven't already done soPaddle no. 12

I wonder if my question might help newbies deciding which company to use. Can anyone on a CCCS plan tell me if you can contact your personal advisors by phone out of office hours (9am - 5pm), once you have signed up?
Pay Plan phoned me back at around 7pm when I took the first step and signed up with them. They made the appointment time. Very useful as I work full time. I'm guessing that once the plan is really up and running, not just starting out as it is now so I still have a few questions, that office hours would be fine to talk to a case officer on the (hopefully!!) rare occasion I might need info.
With PP I've always had two names given to me, not sure I have actually ever spoken to the named people when I've phoned and typed my PP number into the phone. It would be useful not to be limited to office hours, hence my question about CCCS as others might have the same, albeit minor issue.
Barclaycard phoned at work today and I am on leave. My boss phoned and told me, so I phoned them, foreign call centre, spoke to three people eventually, then got cut off!!!! So I just phoned the Customer Services. Spoke to a very nice lady who said she was making a note on my record and would freeze interest etc for 30 days until Pay Plan have contacted them.
Long ramble sorry.Paddle No 21 :wave:0 -

That's what I thought, but when I rang CCCS to advise that the Natwest debt was transferred to Triton, they said that the creditors are contractually obliged to accept the payment, but it doesn't mean anything in terms of whether they are going to accept it. The irony is, one of my payments is almost the minimum payment but they are the ones charging all the late fees and interest, and one of the natwest accounts was my old student overdraft who were getting nothing paid back until I went on a DMP! Grr. Hopefully it will all settle down soon. In a couple of days they'll get the third monthly payment obviously. Am seriously thinking about getting shot of my car; it's not worth anything ('we buy any car' are willing to give me £70 lol...), but it would save me the £37 I pay out on car insurance, and I don't really need it, although obviously it is handy. Car insurance is up in May, and so haven't paid anything out I will struggle to get back if you know what I mean. I might try and sell privately through work or in paper/Ebay as it has only just been MOT'd (a mere five advisory notices to get it through next one though!!!).
One question; I do sometimes get a spare £100 or so a month from Amazon Marketplace / Ebay and the like. Is it better to squirrel this away in savings, then try to full and final, or big one off payment through the CCCS, or are they able to accept the odd extra payment? So far this money has had to go to emergency things, but I don't foresee any more emergency bills (esp if car goes).0 -
Hi raquela, I've felt the same as you esp re Lloyds, halifax and capone. Just carry on paying and repeat after me 'They can't have what I don't have' as for the phone calls, I've spoken to hardly any of our creditors, they've got it all in writing and I'm not really brave enough to talk to them. If they really need to tell me something they can write to me.
As for the ebay cash, I'd stash it away for an emergency fund or full and finals when you've got enough, you can pay CCCS extra but they just share it out between everyone.0
