I must say. I've thought about ebay loads and I've tonnes of stuff I could have sold on it but it sort of scares me a little and I haven't a clue how to work it. Added to the fact that you have to take and scan in pictures of the stuff and then figure out how much to charge for postage (or not!), etc. I betcha that's probably the same deal for loads of us. If someone here is an expert ebayer. I'd love your thoughts on the subject!:D
Hi all would just like to re-iterate E2 and Mikons sentiments.
hi Mephitsa if you need a quick ebay run down let me know, did quite well from it a while back but sold everything now. Once you get into its quite easy.
Hope you are all having a better day than me, have had the worst day ever at work ever!!!!! The rudeness of some people is beyond me when youare trying to their best for them!:eek::eek::mad: <
this is me at the moment.
Anyways any Ebay questions let me know0 -

Woah how come it doubled thats bonkers if your struggling a bit you should def get adjusted. have you got your old and new budgets to conmpare?0 -
They worked the new payment out on an average wage, where as the first payment was worked out at the lowest wage received over the previous 6 months, if that makes sense??
That and our gas and eletricity payments seem to have dropped massively over the last year, but I can't see how.0 -
Now that I am on a dmp will I face a problem should I try an re-mortage. Trying to find a lower interst rate then switch and ditch etc?
thanks everybody for your support
May I have a paddle number?

The thing with your mortgage, and this is just my opinion by the way, is that you have come to an arrangement to pay with your creditors. Let's face it, your unlikley to get the best rates under these circumstances.
I suppose your best bet is going to a decent broker, laying your cards on the table and seeing what they come up with.
You may get something competative but don't be too suprised if you struggle.
Keep us informed on how you go on, I think a lot of people are probably wondering about mortgages and DMP's

I think I just got some more good news guys although my family aren't gonna like it.
Just went for an interview at lunch for a part-time customer service assistant with the company I had to leave when my boss resigned. They nearly fell over themselves to give me the job. Cause I work full time I have said I really only want to work 2 nights a week and one day in the weekend (they were looking for a minimum of 20 hrs commitment per week). It starts at £6 per hour raising to £6.20 per hour after you complete training.
It will really help with some of the extra dosh I've been looking for to build up to F&F settlements I hope.
I've just gotta wait for confirmation as to whether the shift manager can work with my shift needs because its an additional job as opposed to my main one.
The other good thing, if I get it, is that it would be a really good back up if my contract here wasn't extended and I was still at a loose end.
The only thing I hope is that (a) it gets confirmed (b) I don't be too knackered!!!Debt at DMP start (1st Oct 10) £30,838k. Debt of DMP as of 11th May 12 £12,170k

Cheers Gabriella and Newbeginning. Might just take you up on that. Have a load of stuff which is going to the dump and now destroyed out our back garden (probably growing arms and legs at this stage!) which I really probably could have sold but just didn't know how.
With the possibility of a new parttime job, I might see how that works itself out meantime and see if you guys could send me some info personally as to how to get started or if anyone else wants to know, you could post it here if you like.
As for remortgaging ek786, that's probably okay if you are not going to try and borrow extra and are just hoping to get a cheaper "fixed" rate for the next couple of years. If you are thinking of remortgaging the house to borrow extra cash to pay off the debts, please think really carefully. Your house won't have a great overall value at the moment so you will dip out there and you will also dip out because, in the long run, you are really taking on extra debt for an even longer period of time which will not help solve the problem of how you got there in the first place.
Like Eyeopener, its just my opinion but if it helps, I'm glad to voice it.Debt at DMP start (1st Oct 10) £30,838k. Debt of DMP as of 11th May 12 £12,170k

Glad you got barclaycard off your backgabriella90 wrote: »Urgh urgh and urgh again!!
At work all happy and received a letter from Barclaycrap - sent 9th Jan no less, saying they have sent a letter to CCCS and enlcosed the letter (guess what letter NO letter enc)
same thing has happened to me .. i got a letter last month regarding my repayment plan finishing and they wanted a new I&E and new offer of repayment by 13th february ...CAB who are dealing with me sent the new details .. to them which Barclaycard responded also they sent me a letter saying they sent a letter to CAB and had enclosed a copy for me ..( which i didnt get ...suprise suprise) saying i can either contact them or cab regarding the letter ...our CAB is now appoinment only and very busy at the moment .. i phoned last week and still no further forward to the content of the missing letter ....but i have reponded to Barclaybcard saying my circumstancse and income are still the same so cant offer any more than i am paying and didnt get the copy of the 2nd letter ...will see if they reply0 -
Barclaycard have finally replied to my letter.
They've passed me on to their financial difficulties team :rotfl: and they'll be in touch. They also go on to say they've enclosed a income expenditure form and to fill that in and return. I thought CCCS gave them all that info? Anyone any thoughts on what to do with that? I'm thinking of writing back telling them to contact CCCS for that info. But in the letter I sent them I asked for a refund of charges applied since starting the DMP (they've been adding on £24 a month for the last year), so I'm not sure - any advice greatly appreciated!!
Also I only realised recently (please - no lectures) that there's PPI on the account so I had a moan about that in the letter, asked them to cancel and refund it. I know that's not the proper way of doing it, but thought what the heck as I was writing to them anyway. So they've sent the PPI questionnaire as well but because I didn't know it was even on the account in the first place how am I supposed to answer questions such as 'When was the policy sold?'
We've had this card for years and I think it was originally a Morgan Stanley so I doubt they've got any info anyway.
Oh and then they go on to say i'll have an update on my complaint by Feb 14th (Monday!)0
