  • Urgh urgh and urgh again!!

At work all happy and received a letter from Barclaycrap - sent 9th Jan no less, saying they have sent a letter to CCCS and enlcosed the letter (guess what letter NO letter enc) so thought i'd ring and as its been a year guess what they have cancelled the agreement and re-instated interest. Ended up having a heated but calm iuswim call with the call centre which might i add is abroad and had to repeat myself many times:mad: Managed to get the woman to agree to payment this month.

ME what is the interest rate and my payment next mnoth?
BC I can't say somewhere in the region of this and this
ME No i'd like it 0% re-enstated and agreed rate
    BC please hold
BC NO, can you increase the payment and i can do it!! (the cheek)
ME NO it would be unfair to my other creditors etc etc.

Basically ended up stale mate. Payment will stay the same CCCS to send letter requesting same amount and o% interest, may increase payment as it was only 6 pounds a month more.

Sorry needed to rant was so hacked off by blantant taking the mick they know the score, so do WE - 2 fingers BC:)

Anyways CCCS review this afternoon figures all prep'd and hoping to increase a little might keep them quite for another year.

Hope your having a good Friday

    Hi everyone.
Bizarely feel a bit better today. I think posting yesterday helped me clear my mind a bit. I'd avoided the forum as feeling so down and think I was sticking my head in the sand as hadn't even checked the bank balance. Well i did that last night so all demons faced and will get throught the month albeit hungry but hey ho I need to lose weight! And can't go overdrawn so that's gotta be better than this time last year.
Appreciate the dodgy group hug and kind words from Teds & Mikon.
I hate doing the big shop too. Just reminds me how expensive everything is.
Bloomin steam generator has packed in and I have an ironing customer's order to complete. Luckily well within warranty. So not too bad.
    LOVE TO ALLx

Glad your feeling better today and aired your thought etc. The main thing is you've faced your debts and not increasing them:T

Hi Loubylou, good to hear from you... sounds like 1 step forward and 2 steps back for you at the moment, sending a dodgy group hug :grouphug:

Hi HH, yes you are definately rehabilitating if there's such a word!!!

Has anyone on a low start DMP had a review yet? I was told that my low payments were ok for a year but we would have to look at 'other options' if I couldn't pay more after then .... am just about managing now that petrol etc has gone up....

    Ted

I think mine was but not 100% sure what they class as a low start DMP? Review this avo so will give an update as to what happened.

Being a tad naughty and keeping some salary back for saving or it'll be years before i get rid of the ball and chain.
  • Hello, me again well my yearly review is done phew........

    So prep before review
    *printed off old budget
*printed blank budget sheet juggled a few things around
    *salary worked out,
*any new letters from creditors eg BC

I have to say i was a little nervous even though they were the CCCS. The whole process took about 20 mins top and the lady was lovely and talked me through the process. They send the new review to creditors and wait and see what happens.
I have increased my payment by £38 which has now knocked my DFD to 2020:eek: instead of 2022:eek::eek: so that its a little improvement!
Still feel sick when i look at the figures but hey ho onwards and upwards!

Another one with Barclaycard problems. They do not help people with financial problems, this is now deemed a fact.

I still haven't sent my FOS complaint but I will now. This is getting beyond a joke.

Seems like we're al coming into review time of the year and don't ask me why, but creditors all of a sudden think we've grown a pot of money over Christmas. In these days of increasing bills, what makes them think that we suddenly have an increase in funds? It's like I said to the bank, I'd love to pay you more ... but what with?

I've stopped worrying about it also and so should you Louby. What will be will be. You can't squeeze blood out of a stone. I still maintain its not what we want to give them that essential, it's what we can afford to give them. The whole point is that we manage to get by on what we've got and also pay our bills so that we don't get into that sort of state again. Well, I kinda thought that was the point. Does anyone else think that?

As for you Gabriella, I'm sooooooo jealous. 2020? I wish. It'll be like China for me. My dogs (no kids) will be paying of my bills for the rest of their little lives!!!:(

However its my birthday today and I refuse to be sad. My hubby is taking me out somewhere for a meal tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to it - despite the blustery weather here. I don't go out very often so a think a little cheering bellini might be on the cards!
    Debt at DMP start (1st Oct 10) £30,838k :(. Debt of DMP as of 11th May 12 £12,170k :o.
