ps remember we used to share good book reads on this thread, well I'm out of books and the library don't seem to have a good supply. Can anyone recommend a good one?
OH MY GOODNESS! I can ABSOLUTELY recommend some books! :j You HAVE to read the Millennium trilogy - The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest.
Honestly they are all BRILLIANT! It's the quickest I've read any books (started in October with Dragon Tattoo and now half way through Hornets Nest).
....(hoping you haven't read them already!)
Next on my list in One Day by David Nicholls, on my xmas list and is supposed to be a weepy!
I'm hoping that was my little bump in the road, can't believe it's nearly the year annivesary on my LBM, how time flies!
Looking forward to our first xmas, we kept back a few of the Homebase vouchers we got as moving in presents to by xmas decorations, plus my sister is giving me her old tree! :xmastree:Paddle No 16

Hiya Chocolates,
sounds like things are going well with your DMP. Do know what you mean though about needing things, am hoping that our telly will survive Xmas especially as I've taken advantage of the order 8 Radio Times for a £1.00 offer... (Grabbit board)

Hope everyones pre xmas shopping is going ok, especially not on credit its v v good.

Hi Gabriella
Good to see you're still hanging about. Good to hear things are going well for you. Fingers crossed for January. With any luck everything will remain the same for you.
Ted - if you like, when me and mum (we share the books around!!) have finished with the conspiracy books, I could post them over to you if you like? I would only be throwing them out - as I have done recently with hundreds of books because I need to make some room in the house. If you trust me, send me you're address on a private message and I'll see what I can do to help over the next few months. Its no trouble at all. If we can't all help each other and share our resources .... what can we do?Debt at DMP start (1st Oct 10) £30,838k. Debt of DMP as of 11th May 12 £12,170k

Hi Ted
Yes I did thanks. There's sooooo much to go through but I always look through Martin's weekly emails for tips and freebies anyway. At this rate, I'll be spending all day on the computer as opposed to working!!Debt at DMP start (1st Oct 10) £30,838k. Debt of DMP as of 11th May 12 £12,170k

Thanks guys,
Looks like a few of us are up for reviews in Jan, at least we can be safe in the knowledge that we have no extra credit debt to worry about!
Tedsd have you heard of a website called green metropolis you can sell your books and a donation goes to the national trust or something similar i've used it to buy and sell. You grade them as new, fairly good, worn. Let me know what you think. i have used it before and it worked well. Was it you with the triolgy of the girl with.........? Or was that VicB?
anyways lunch time, my stomach is rumbling!:D

As usual its always on a Saturday!
DMP is in OH's name as all but the £6000 Nat West OD are in his name. (OD in joint names) However my salary is included in DMP.I had a letter from Triton about the OD so I telephoned and spoke to a nice man who told me to get OH to ring Payplan and them to send a letter to them confirning that his DMP was a joint proposition for the purposes of that debt. He said interest would then be stopped on the OD account but that they woud probably persue the Loan.
Now I know Payplan did that the same day as it shows on line. But i've just had an automated call from Triton basically saying that if i don't pay up within seven days they'll take me to court. I actually followed the call to the end and answered 'no' to the request to pay up but the call took it as a 'yes' and said they would expect my payment!!
Should I send a letter myself now or is this standard? I would be panicking more but as our loan is much much bigger than this (also with Nat West) this is probably just the tip of the iceberg.:(
As always any advice gratefully received.
ThanksDMP mutual support member 3970 -
Hi
Contacted CCCS about the "how do we solve a problem like Barclaycard",as they have decided to reinstate interest.
Anyway....
CCCS seem to think that BC may have only set up the intial agreement for 6 months and just reverted to evil creditor type because COMPUTER SAYS SO.
They are writing to BC, or however it is they communicate with Satan, to ask them to stop it and behave.
They have also advised me to write a letter, oh oh...........letters been written for a week, revised, made angrier (can you do that to a letter?) and is now sat by the fish tank ready for Monday and the Post Office. Copy for Chief Exec as well, who I think i have the correct name of.
Here we go again.
