Hi HH
I'm keeping my own tally as well, I know that QQ should be X amount but it was Y, this months payment hadn't reduced the balance. I've not checked everything yet but I will amend the balance when i've double checked everything.
I also have looked at overpaying the mortgage when i'm DF but i'm weighing up whether I could justify it to my OH. It would mean a few more years of austerity, and I don't know whether she would be entirely happy with it. It would mean we would be completely DF in about 8 years.
Something to think about.
However I think my OH is planning on saving my CCCS payments once i'm DF to go to Australia so maybe Mortgage Free Wannabee is a non starter!I'm Debt Free :j 2/09/2013

I see whats happened with CCCS, my balances on the "update your balance" page are correct but my Statement is wrong. Someone needs to press calculate.

Hi Everyone
I am back just to update you all. I have undertaken my DMP Review and everything remained the same. Creditors have been quite, only Barclaycard have seemed to have changed things. From April - Oct No interest applied DMP payments made. Received Statement the other day and interest has been applied at a minimal fee of 0.3%. Cannot understand why they have done this I did receive a letter saying the were changing the terms and conditions but 0.3% takes about £40 off the monthly payment I make via my DMP.
Has anyone else experienced this? and if so did you resolve it?
I may need to send a letter to query this but would appreciate any advice from anyone on here first.
Just when you think things are starting to settle down.

For anyone struggling with numerous phonecalls, do send off one of the letters that everyone suggests on here as they really do work:T My OH was getting on average around 8-10 calls per day from Barcrapley Card until I sent off a recorded delivery letter asking them to stop phoning us and to write instead. This week he has had 1 call:)
We are now into our third month on a DMP and life is pretty much back to normal after some huge upheavals i.e. DMP, not paying CC's, losing job, finding new job and I feel so much better in myself and much more able to cope.
We can see the debts coming down albeit slowly and this in itself motivates me to carry on - I don't miss using my CC's one bit:)Debt Free 1st March 2017

By the way guys, I just got some good news yesterday. I know .... mad. I went for an interview with the BBC .... and I got the job!! Its contracted until April 2011 but at least it will take me over Christmas and its more money than I'm on now. You wanna know the best part? They want me to start Monday.
Gabrielle, that's how I know he's looking down on me. Who wouldn't want a way into such a company. I feel like a weight's been lifted off my shoulders - albeit temporarily. Now I've just got to convince them to keep me. hey - maybe I'll even have some extra money to go towards my secret stash for F&F:j
Hooray!! I told you that you never know what is around the corner, I am so pleased for you! Well Done!!!:beer:Debt Free 1st March 2017

Thats a bit of a suprise Mikon. Barclaycard are one of my creditors but I haven't had this months statement yet. Might be worth sending one of your superb letters.
What does 0.3% monthly equate as an APR? Does anyone know.I'm Debt Free :j 2/09/2013

Good luck for Monday. I smiled at the last bit as I know I will be a pensioner by the time I am debt free, but that is down to my age not really the extended length of pay back time. I'm looking forward to my final salary lump sum being all mine now, as before the DMP it would have paid off the debts I have.
Mikon Barclaycard have not added interest to me they just never stopped like everyone else did. Reduced to the 0.3% so Payplan pay them £157 and they take back £49~ a month so the debt is not going down as quickly as the rest. Better than I was being charged and Payplan say they have the right to charge. Weird how they stop for some and not for others. Anyone know the criteria they use to decide? Funny we have to show pro rata but one one creditor can continue to charge interest and the others kindly stop.
Friend is still looking at what to do. I don't see her in the flesh that often but we are due to meet up soon and I will be telling her to decide before things get really bad. I wish I knew about DMPs sooner than I did.Paddle No 21 :wave:0
