  • absolutely agree with Gibbs, its an informal agreement, so basically there can be no "rules", it would be better for you to pay back your Dad and then start, so if its best that's what you should do!

Calm and assertive, remember your just in debt, you haven't murdered anyone, you always need to put your family first.

    take care all

  • thanks guys you are totally right i was just caught unexpectedly by the call and thought of all these things afterwards.
i will ring them on monday i think and explain things.
i totally agree with the green hair comment that has made me laugh tonight its exactly how i felt in the post office the other day!
  • stopped all of the DMP payments on 1st Aug, only those that are enforceable will get paid, no point in doing CCA if you are going to keep paying, remember what unenforceable means, they can't enforce the debt ie take you to court get a ccj etc but they can chase you and register a default (all of which they will do on a DMP anyway.) I am just sorry I didn't come across this before we did the DMP but hey ho we're off and running now. Niddy is very good Eyeopener, he has an answer for everything and knows the law which you will all realise the creditors rely on you NOT knowing. I've learned loads and its only been a month!!!! PM me if any of you need more detailed info or log on to the new website.

aaaw bless ya Mrs Dopey ;);)

Yep, we got the biggie sorted and just got the rest to sort now :D

    Hi PDD

Are you going to remove them from the DMP now? Just be careful, you don't want anything blowing up in your face.

Everything is oh so quiet on the DMP front, my debts going down, all the creditors seem to be quite happy for now so all in all not bad.

Things do improve once the DMP settles in.

Hi Niddy, am thinking about UE, as over 60% of my debt is 3 cards with one company (the one PDD just got confirmed as unenforceable), have also joined your other forum.
Very nervous about it though as they have stopped all interest and charges and am worried about that being put back on if I go for this.
Have copied and pasted your initial letter asking for agreement, etc.
When I get the courage to send them off, what should I do after that. Many thanks in advance. PPP

  • Happy Sunday
Hope all is good with you!
Quick post - will get back later when have go the house back in control- a week of new jobs and school and childminder all survived with smiles on our faces but the chaos at home!!! Not helped by the leaking kitchen ceiling - central heating pipe sprung a leak but thank goodness we kept the british gas homecare agreement - £30 well spent each month as this is the 4th time we've used it this year....
