Good to see you feeling so positive paddlepanda - we're liking morrisons yellow stuff too - their pasta 31p! is fab. This dmp process is a right education!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -

Had a letter of termination of current account from barclays today (having already written to inform that they were rejecting the dmp offer) to tell us they were charging us $1.90 a day interest untill the full 4k is paid off! Don't they understand that it will take much longer to get their money back? Anyone else experienced this? Is the recovery agent more likely to cut a deal?
Being back at work has it's benefits - they can't ring during the day!
On a plus note, I am so grateful to Pay Plan for their prompt and patient replies to my 'worried' emails.:T0 -
btw, I recommend Morrisons dog food at only about 33p a kilo (aprox) - way cheaper than the nearest competition and the dog hasn't complained! To be fair, I mix in a slightly dearer brand every so often for variety. Sad note - kids rejected value cocoa pops on the grounds that they were simply inedible!lol0

Hi everyone! I've only posted once or twice on here so far but am now just about ready to start my DMP. Very very scared! I've got all the letters to my creditors ready to go, all the stuff to CCCS ready to go, and am posting it at lunchtime tomorrow. I've cancelled my DDs (gulp!) and will be making token payments this month.
I've got a couple of questions if anyone can help. I'm hoping to move in July of next year as my husband and I currently live in two tiny rooms in a house share as a married couple. We desperately need our own space for the sake of our relationship. I'm planning to save to pay for a lot of the move which is going well, and also I'm lucky to have a good job with the hope of a pay rise next month (please,please,please...). If I'm on a DMP, does anyone know how that would affect our chances of renting elsewhere if at all? My argument to any agency who questioned it on a credt check would be that I'm actually more stable than most as I live to a budget set using help from CCCS and have no access to credit meaning no way to get into debt. At that point I would hopefully also have savings to show that I have reserves if needed.
Second question is to do with my car insurance. I've always paid it all upfront at the beginning of the year but this year am going to do it on DD. I'm staying with the same company but would there potentially be a problem with me getting a DD set up? I wouldn't be able to afford upfront car insurance this year looking at my savings as I need servicing and MOT at the same time. The though of being without the car for a couple of months while I get the money together is not a pleasant one...
Thanks in advance everyone!I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals - Winston Churchill£5 a day in Dec - £16.80/£155 = 11% done0 -

Hi PDD, Just found out that all three BOS cards have been transferred to Blair, Oliver and Scott (good news), so will wait to hear officially from them that they have now taken over the debt, then test the waters with a CCA request for all 3. Will let you know when that happens, in the mean time will be following your diary on the AAD forum closely. Cheers, PP :cool:LBM Jan 2010. DFD 2016.

Hi Fortunepig, I was worried about my car insurance also but I have been able to insure my car and pay monthly without any hassle at all.
Hope this helps
