  • Morning all.

Decided I now have three financial dates per month to celebrate, pay day, the 1st when dd goes to CCCS and the 25th when it goes to the Preditors. 2 payments in and just under 5% of debt paid back. Can't wait until them numbers are in the double figures. Have 6 Preditors on board. 2 of the remaining six are being pains. Egg are still wacking loads interest on, £188 this month so only going down by about £10. Hellifax are constantly on the phone even though I keep saying just writting. Has anyone got a link to the harassment letter please?

Have to say I'm still struggling with budgetting but I know my life will get better. I think I proably need to plan my shop more. No emergency fund is a concern so I need to proper get a recovery in place. Have downloaded the spending diary from CCCS so am going to try that this month. Any tips gratefully received.

Teds - was it ironing or Aldi?

Hope you all have a good weekend planned

Welcome Nat and Mama, we were worried about you, thought you'd dropped your paddles. Interesting mama to hear about your review, I was worried that they'd work out a new payment and the bad guys who were still adding interest would get more cos their balances would be pro rata higher ifyswim, anyway they don't cos CCCS go on the original balance. I was looking at petrol again, ours has gone up by about £15 per week, and although I get mine back in expenses, I am actually losing a tiny bit there as well, as the expenses prices hasn't gone up but petrol has. And its not something company can sort as its the government who set these things and we're still on Gordon Brown's figures.

OK lets all have a good dmp free weekend, my review isn't until friday, had to wait for a Scottish expert................

Good to know the preditors who aren't accepting don't benefit when payments increase.
If I drive with any lower revs trying to conserve disel the car'll stall! Hope ConDem up your expense allowances!

Here's one letter from NID's thread - haven't worked out how to do links yet so had to copy and paste. Ted's the wiz witht he finding things really! I think Mikon and the Prof have posted their fab letters too - apologies if I've said the wrong names!
    Dear Sirs,

I am writing in relation to the quantity and frequency of telephone calls that I have received from your company, which I deem to be personally harassing. I have verbally requested that these stop, but I am still receiving calls and I now require all further correspondence from your company to be made in writing only. I am of the view that your continued harassment of me by telephone puts you in breach of Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970, and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.

If you continue to harass me by telephone, you will also be in breach of the Communications Act (2003) s.127 and I will report you to OFCOM, Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading, meaning that you will be liable to a substantial fine. Be advised that any further telephone calls from your company may be recorded and used in evidence and I expect this harassment to cease immediately.

    Yours faithfully

    Hi Guys

Mr Dopey is now laying out camping equipment (borrowed), this is very worrying, I really think Hannibal crossed the Alps with less palaver, can definitely see crime of passion coming up, I brain him with a tent peg..........................

Brilliant, thanks so much MamaJJ xx
  • Hello Everyone

One very new and nervous poster here and one who also can't figure out how to start a new thread!!

I am about to sign up for DMP arranged through the National Debtline and have a million and one doubts going through my mind. Mainly, that suddenly my creditors are going to jump down my throat and start harrassing me even more and the ones that have frozen the interest when I negotiated lower payments (that I still can't afford) will now bang it on again.

Has anyone had any experience of how creditors react when a lower payment plan has been arranged personally and then basically the arrangement is then broken because a DMP is arranged which actually reduces the payments even further.

Many thanks if anyone finds this as I have no idea where it will end up!

    Hi guys,

Long time no see (chat). i've had a mega busy 3/4 weeks. Welcome newbies your in the right place if you like Aldi's and wacko bars and also if you want kick those debt gremlins into touch:j

So how you guys all getting on? In August i'll be 6 months into dmp haven't heard a peep from the creditors at the mo. Touch wood! did the CCCS send you letters about your reviews or call?

Not sure what to tell them i've started full time 2 weeks ago yahoo so my salary is sorted the only trouble is i now have to pay back the bank of Mum for my car, i should still be able to pay back her and increase my payments to the gremlins. I also would love to save for Full and Finals but will have to wait 6 months or so to pay back Mum 1st oh it all takes so long :(

I headed back to the UK 2 weeks ago which was amazing, my budget went completely out the window, although i did only spend cash and not credit card which was really odd but flipping amazing!! I've now started a sealed pot challenge for somethign or other i can't get in it unless i smash it:D. You definatley don't have the lure of the shops here in Cyprus.

Just a quick one has anyone had their Barclaycard passed to a DCA, i kind of would like it done with a view to a F&F?
