Haven't a clue who was last dished out, was it Eyeopener? Could we perhaps add in temporary paddles until nat comes back??? To be honest I can't really remember what mine is, it may be 19????
Nitty, it usually takes around a week to ten days to get all set up, have you got your new bank account in place?
Hi ted

Well another day draws to a close and this DMP business and budgeting really makes you stop and think about things before you buy them. I wish I had taken this outlook years ago instead of just buying items and sticking it on the CC. Now I stop and think do i really need it, and if I have to take a while to answer the question then the answer is no. Secondly shopping around for the weekly shop really can reduce the overall weekly shopping bill.
I think i will set up an eductaional consultancy and go into school and educate kids about debt, and the evil of cc as well as how to budget. This is a fundamental thing that children should learn at an early age.
Well that is my speech over and done with.
2nd payment made to CCCS yesterday. God does it feel good.Mikon Riding the DMP Rollercoaster full of ups and downs but i will get to the end. :T:j

So true, and it actually feels good thinking about buying something. Makes it way more precious. Not so good when the DMP gremlin strikes :eek: but even then it makes me appreciate what I need to do. cc have made our lives too easy. Took the consequence of our actions away.Paddle No 21 :wave:0 -
Morning lovely Peeps:A
Hope today's a good one!
Got to agree with you Mikon and Gibbs about the bodgetting and cc..just a shame we're still not doing a great job with it...will get better though:o
HI Nat good "see " you! How's things going and how are your little ones!
I 've had the cccs review - suprised because it was before even 6 months of me contacting them?! Anyways just had to go through all the budget figures couldn't just say everything was the same. He was prepared to knock down our payment when I said how tough some bits were - petrol especially but I said NO!!!!! keep it where it is !
hsbc have sent final demand - 14 days to send the full lot:rotfl:or satisfactory repayment proposal as cccs one is no longer good enough...phoned finally managed to get collections who are also reading off a script, seems thy will pass to dca after 14days. So we'll see what the next mangling step is! Don't think there is a great deal of point in writing and asking to stop interest. But you'll be glad to know that if I can BORROW THE ARREARS!!! from family or friends then that'll stop the account going to dca!!! Can't believe they said that. Told the young man his financial guidelines and that he was breaking them making such a suggestion! ARhh well-pretty piddled off with the whole thing:(
Did the ironing get done Ted or did you manage to find plenty of deflecting activities?
PDD - are you still feeling critical today?
WElcome Newbies:Twell done for finding us and starting your dmp journey!
Eyeopener - paddles are most definately for helping us navigate **** creek. What was the gig you just finished - sounds interesting!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -
