Thank you both. We have received one lot of final wages from our previous employers (we both used to work together, it's a long story, and one that I'll tell when I start my diary) the other cheque is sat at the post office, so I think I'm going to put this to one side and pop it into the bank when the payment is due.

Hello evanesco, welcome to the thread.everyone on here is really friendly and helpful, it's my lifeline :)

With regard to payday loans I have been an idiot, but cccs will include them in your dmp, but they do get ugly, wonga in particular have been a nightmare but I think I'm getting there.

Cancel your card though, I have learnt to my cost!

    Hi

    Paydayloans...........groan.

You will find them difficult but i've found most of the letters are computer generated, mainly as they were the same wording as the emails they send. Write to them explaining the situation and demand that they do not call you, this takes the pressure off, but just watch how they/if they add interest at the ridiculous rate.

You may find CCCS pay more to they Payday Loan companies to get rid of them rather than pro rata every creditor, they have done that with one of mine, but I suppose it depends on your personal circumstances.

Pay day loans should be banned. Why oh why did I ever get involved with them, I should be horse whipped!

    Good luck.

hi all, just wondering once your dmp is setup, some will prob agree and some wont, what happens if you get letters from some creditors saying they wont accept dmp etc, what do you do then, do you continue to pay the dmp with that creditor who doesnt accept, and what would be the next step with that creditor who doesnt accept dmp

Thanks everyone. We received the cheques for our final wages from our previous employer, so I'm just going to set it aside to pay the Payday Loan. The rest of it will go off our rent arrears.

Hi Everyone! Long time so see/read :(

I've been hidden away off work, with no internet at home (which, tbh, I've quite enjoyed!) and plenty of time in the sunshine with my beautiful niece :)

I hope you are all well, lots of newbies I see, welcome.

Not much to report on DMP, had a review with CCCS yesterday and up'd payment by £8 per month, which cut repayment time a little bit. Nothing much else, haven't had anything from Cap1 in MONTHS (I can't complain) and even HSBC have gone quiet on me.

Exciting news though, BF and I have started looking at flats to rent, VERY excited!! :j Even though I panic when I think about them doing a credit check on me :eek: (even though, it's not bad as I've no defaults at the moment, just total of debt was problem). However, my parents have agreed to be guarantors so hopefully it'll work out. Fingers crossed.

Have missed you guys so off to catch-up on the thread x

Hi VicB :j The flat sounds exciting! What happened at the CCCS review?? asking for myself (although I'm still not up and running until July 1st) and PDD has hers soon. Looks like you've been the 1st to go....

Not sure why I had it so early, only start April 1st, but first spoke to CCCS in Jan, so maybe it's 6 months from then?

Nothing to worry about, they just go through all your in and outgoings to see if anything has changed and then they alter your payment accordingly. Told them I'd be moving in a few months so my payments will most probably changed (although I'm hoping not too much!) and they said just to call them once I'm settled to go through everything. HTH

It feels good to be back! :)
