I'm off to paint the fences now, I've been putting it off for 3 years but will stay online to avoid a repeat of those ugly scenes this morning when I couldn't get an internet connection (crazy mummy!!!):rotfl::rotfl:Paddle no. 12

well guys i am now on the phone to lloyds 22mins and counting. collection confirm i am on a dmp and have accepted my payments and stopped interest,HOWEVER no one told me and they stopped sending statements and letters. i am now waiting for yet another department, finally come back to me, no idea why they stopped corresponding but will start again and send the missing statements and letters!!! Apparently CCCS have been paying on the wrong day, 2 days late!!!! Why would they set a date that is two days before CCCS's extremely well known payment date???? OK finished call after 25 mins 39 secs, of my very valuable time. Why don't they talk to each other??? Unbelieveable question, do you think you will be able to resume payments in 4 months?????? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'm on a DMP for 8 years!!!!!!!! why would I suddenly be able to resume payments??? unless I won the lottery! If they worked for a private profitable company with proper customer service KPIs in place, none of them would last 2 minutes!!!!

Hello all
Had a quick read of everyones posts, seems like it's been a busy day in dmp land! I will have a proper read later, not sure I will be able to offer any advice though as you all seem muchore clues up than me!
I could really do with some urgent advice. One of my creditors is natwest for an overdraft. I had a letter from natwest accepting my offer and that was that, however the account is a joint account and they have rung my husband today to say as they have not received an offer from him they will continue with dca. I rang natwest and they said he needs to set up his own dmp and make an offer.
Can he do this?
ThanksLBM- may2010:A0 -
Hi regret
answer is I don't know, you should have moved your current account away from that one when you entered the DMP. Does your OH still use it? Does he need a DMP? I am presuming that you have a new bank account where you don't owe any debt? I think the first thing to decide is does he need a DMP and if he does, I would rework yours to be joint, cos then its simpler with household bills etc. If he doesn't, I think you have to phone CCCS/Payplan and take their advice. Sorry can't be more helpMore than Two Years in

one question, if you bank somewhere where you owe credit, lets say natwest credit card, and use natwest bank, and also have an overdraft with them, if i change to lets say barclays bank for wages, etc to go in, can natwest use right to offset to push my natwest overdraft further into debt or can they only do this if your account is in credit?0

I think i have heard of instances where assorted banks have tried this, then you argue its against the fairness guidelines to push you further into debt and charges deliberately and eventually you get the money back where it was, but it is a faff. make sure all DDs are cancelled, make sure they know that you know the DD guarantee rules (go read them if you're not sure) and quote them if they try this. Otherwise you just have to argue with them, its just a pain and completely unethical.More than Two Years in

Thanks PDd oh has a different account because we stopped using it because I entered into my dmp. I am a bit worried changes will mess up my dmp.
Oh does have debt and I think he is struggling a bit so maybe a dmp would be better for him. Going to ring cccs
Thanks xLBM- may2010:A0 -
Hello everyone. Just wandering in. I have contacted CCCS and they're putting me on a DMP, so henceforth, major belt tightening. I have a Payday Loan, which is due on 29th July, £250 it is. How do I go about dealing with this? Do I ring CCCS and tell them I need to add it on. I believe I also need to cancel my debit card so they can't take the payment, is this true?
Anyway, Hello again, I look forward to joining you.0 -
Hi Evanesco
Don't have any myself but i understand you treat them like all your other creditors, ie send letter telling them you're entering a DMP and pay a token payment this month of £1 (no more, just £1). I think you will have to cancel your card or they will be all over the account. Our resident payday loan expert will be along in a minute, yooohooo Eyeopener where are you, we need some wisdom!More than Two Years in

Hi!!
A couple of folk here have had payday loans (and a lot of bother from them) so hopefully someone will be along soon to answer your query from experience, BUT from what I remember, I think you would be wise to cancel your debit card if thats how they are to be paid. I think I also remember someone having a lot interest/charges added on and intimitating phone calls/letters/emails so it might be better to pay your other creditors token payments for an extra month to give you enough to get rid of the payday loan as they are known to be b$*^£$"^s
