No prob Mama, just another thought, Mon - Fri hols work out cheaper and you need less spending money.... and, you get the Sat/Sun to get over it, catch up on the washing etc...
Yep, this is very true...very very true, a couple of nights away can feel like a week if you pack enough into it, or take small children! Might even have enough tesco tokens to pay for a couple of nights.DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -

Morning everyone!
Spent a LONG time looking for cheap (hahahahahaha) self catering cottages in cornwall, for school holidays........oh what a laugh that was. Do people not realise people have The Incorporater DMP to contend with and have to squeeze food budget to pay for holiday and little children must have a holiday- well us too - and BH( not sure if this one makes sense but like bleeping heck) how much, the best I could find that was actually available was £625! Sent booking enquiry, can dream...
Hey mama! Where abouts in Cornwall do you want to be? Seeing as I'm down here I might be able to find something cheaper for you?Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -

I'm so sorry!! I've been completely carp recently - as soon as the sun comes out me and DB have to be out in it, we're both such sun babies!
I've been working loads and loads and I've been trained in battering now which means a payrise!
With regards debt busting, nothing is happening! Haven't heard a peep from anyone! On the plus side, with the extra money I'm earning we have increased the tokens from £1 to £5 to each and we can sort the garden out too!Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
Hi jeddy5, I was just going to say that none of them do credit checks as it's your cash HOWEVER, I was going to get the 02 card and then I think I noticed that the bank they use is Natwest and I didn't want them getting wind of it and helping themselves, probably paranoid but didn't want to take the risk, especially as RBS have done a search and now taken the money out of one of my kids savers accounts (only small amount in them so had forgotten about it but still...no conscience, Barstewards!)
Not posting to worry you as you sounded so happy but wouldn't like to say nothing either.......please check there is no connection.
My creditors are HSBC, MBNA and Halifax so should be ok.
Cheers! :beer:Paddle number 22

Morning all
Don't know if this is any use to the holiday bookers

It's all privately rented caravans, we booked off here before.0 -
Hiya everyone!
Definitely agree about the rate hikes. Our main problem was credit cards that had hiked up to 30% interest, so all we were ever doing was paying that. Feel bad that we're having to screw the creditors with reasonable interest rates who were always good to us at the same time
We did a 'holiday at home' a few years ago (admittedly this was when we didn't have a kid). We lived in Exeter, so took a week off and did really touristy things all week - a tour of the city walls, Shakespeare in the park, bus ride to nearby beach town with a lovely coastal walk… very cheap but lots of fun!0 -
