Thanks for the welcome ljm23k
Regret - I had exactly the same panic attack when one of my creditors wrote to me straight away stating they are rejecting my DMP offer as it was to low in their estimates and that I would be hearing from a DCA and they may take me to court (debt is £1317). This was near enough 3 months ago and I haven't heard from a DCA or the courts and they are taking my payments even if they have set my account to defaulted straight awayAnyway, I think this is at times the norm and after my initial panic attack, I started to understand and I have not heard from any creditor other than my monthly statements since my first DMP payment 5 months ago was made

I'm getting very nervous now. DMP has been set up, received confirmation this morning, and a pile of letters has arrived from various cc/loans saying either pay up or ring us now. Gulp.
Just got to stay calm and remember that i'm doing the right thing. I'm paying back what I owe and they all should accept the proposals. Shouldn't they?
Looks like I need to phone a couple of cc companys now.I'm Debt Free :j 2/09/2013

Eyeopener and Anna both of you should be on the name rank and number. Tell them if you answer the phone that you are in a DMP wih CCCS/Payplan and your number is . They should give you a 28 day period to get it all sorted out. You have to stay calm and remember that you are doing the right thing to sort the debt. My Oh and I are 4 months in, massive debts, 22 creditors, we've had around 5 phonecalls and all creditors have accepted and 21 have stopped interest, so it can be done, just keep your nerve and remember that they can't have what you haven't got!!More than Two Years in

thanks for you answer and support I have just spoken to Barclaycard and they said that i should have just spoken to them there is no need to involve a third party, but payplan have not contacted them they still asked for my minimum payment plus next months minimum payment i said i had made a token payment and would contact payplan tomorrow to check that they had contacted them, he said he would wait 14 days for this20p savers club 2013#23 83.00 (2014 numer 6,70.00 pounds) 2036SPC No 6(2013) 182.34

CCCS does all its contacting electronically from what i can see, not sure if Payplan work in the same way. Barclaycard can't have it both ways, they sometimes recommend that you speak to CCCS or Payplan! The collections guys are on commission, so they will always ask for the payments, but you can't give what you haven't got and if you did , it would be showing preference to one creditor which Payplan would tell you not to do. You are nearly there, just hang in till they receive the first payment from Payplan.More than Two Years in

Brokepaolo - our second month of tokens did see a lot of phone action, but it was just stating the facts, and repeating them...cccs number sent a token payment, you'll receive £** on the 25th of the month the dmp starts etc...no so much hardball as the ball just bouncing around a lot with people who weren't very good at catching it!

Ditto to all the above, it is vital to be firm, give your reference number and refuse to be drawn on anything, you are entering a DMP and after taking lots of advice professionally it is the only way forward, etc, etc.
My news is that 7 out 8 have accepted DMP, no news re. interest frozen apart from MBNA x 2, awaiting others.
Only Citibank still pending, interestingly Payplan had the wrong address for them, although I rang them and corrected it, not sure it has been changed. Wondered if anyone else has had communication issues with them?
Hope all well with everyone and to all those newbies at the pre DMP stage, it will get better, it really will. PPLBM Jan 2010. DFD 2016.
