Feeling scared today. No response yet from any of the creditors. We didn't post the offer letters until Tuesday so early days I know but the silence is deafening:oStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

and it will be Julie, the vast majority of our creditors never replied, the acceptance was just reflected in the statements, out of 22 creditors, only 4 actually accepted in writing and we only receivd around 5 phonecalls, mostly asking why we had cancelled DDs. You are on your way, try to think positive.More than Two Years in

Know what you mean Julie! As PDD says though try to keep positive and just stick to your plans, don't wait for acceptances - if you've said you'll pay on a certain date then make sure you do and then they might wake up and accept when they see that you're seriousPaddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
Morning all,
Sorry have been AWOL lately, have been busy trying to be a good/mummy/wife/slave, :rotfl:
Some news on the creditor front, finally answered the phone last night after avoiding it all week! First was barclaycard who were very nice and understanding I explained I had sent letter explaining I am seeking advice from cccs and had sent them a token payment, he confirmed that yes the token payment had been received and said he would freeze interest and charges for 28 days and if dmp wasnt up and running in that time to just contact them and they will do for another 28 days, very positive.
5 mins later phone rang again this time Cap one, a little harder to convince wanted to take some sort of payment of me and wanted me to deal with there own debt service, I just said no I would be continuing to send them the token payment until dmp running, she eventually agreed but they can not stop interest and charges until dmp is officially running, guess theres not much more I can do there.
Today received a letter from Northern Bank who I have a credit card with, acknowledged my letter but said they can not do anything untill I have defaulted 4 times then it will be passed on to another department and I should phone them and make an reduced payment agreement, I guess this is normal for some creditors and I should just continue with the token payments and insist I am going with cccs and will not be going into any agreements with them? any advice anyone?
Not too daunted by anything yet all going quite smoothly so far.
On the home front well, disaster disaster disaster, my drains have all blocked up:eek:, S***t all over my drive:eek:, DH spent Wed evening trying to clear, thought it was done and spent his whole day off yesterday clearing up only for it to happen again, poor dear I really do feel sorry for him, they are not too bad at moment but still blocking. I phoned water board this morning and they are going to take a look incase it is in mains (please god lets hope so) if not DH is going to have to dig up drive to get down to pipes and see what is wrong, We have no way to pay anyone to come in to do it , could this have possibly happened at any worse time, this was to be my first week of sticking to my budget and keeping all my money pots so I dont have an emergency fund yet :eek::eek::eek: Some day life will be normal wont it?LBM - March 2010Paddle no. 15 :j0 -
good going Andy, and I'm sorry it looks as if the DMP gremlins are in your pipes (see previous posts re gremlins). Hope you OH can deal, at least look on the bright side and he appears to have some clue of what to do, my OH would be totally clueless, plumbing is not his forte!!! Godd with creditors, most are reasonable, remember that you tend to get the things that go badly wrong highlighted on here, but a huge amount just go through with no problem. Hope it all goes ok this weekendMore than Two Years in

Hi everybody
Well I had to speak to the CCCS today, to clear some info up, and aren't they nice people? Whenever I ring a "call centre" or whatever they are usually trying to sell me something or pestering about my debt. Lovely people.
Well, they are setting up my plan now, they will contact my creditors and I suppose its just sit back and wait.
The strange thing is, apart from one pesky creditor (the one whose gone in house debt collector, payday express:o), not one has responded to my "i'm in a dmp" letter.
